Dame was loyal to a fault. And the dipshits maxed out McCollum when they should have traded him. It’s a shitty organization through and through.
The Blazers have no defensive fundamentals whatsoever. Be it guarding or rebounding. And somehow Nurk is regarded as a good player. Portland gonna Portland.

Dame is partially to blame. He signed off on the core including CJ and Nurk. He had plenty of time to get rid of GMBro and/or Stotts, at least before Allen died.
They just don't have enough size and defense. Stotts defers to veterans too much and has never put together a top 15 defense.
I didn't need to see this series to know that, it's been obvious since the spectacular New Orleans sweep a handful of years ago.
Would Dame actually want to go to LA? He doesn't seem like that kind of guy.
Laker fans think everyone wants to play there. If this is the end for Lebron and it looks like with 2 of the last three years injury plagued and a vacation in the middle of the last title run the Lakers are years from contention.
If Dame wants a ring there are a lot of better options
A couple weeks ago it was Steph Curry coming to LA
He stood up for Stotts after the New Orleans series. He approved Olshey, he approved this core.
He most likely gets consulted on draft picks.
It's his franchise. Yes, he could go be the last piece on a semi-contender, but he's also on a max deal.
He's been way too loyal to CJ too.
Edit: yes, he's a fucking player. But it's a player's league, way moreso than any other sport. Like, him and GMBro thought Covington and Powell were the missing pieces to this roster? Jesus

Mediocre GM and front office for sure.

Consistently relied on Carmelo throughout the season and playoffs.
I doubt Kidd is any worse than that wrt matchups.
Lillard and the Lakers seem to think otherwise.
