That Nd UW game was the first non Oregon game I ever went to
I have relatives that live in Spokane. We were visiting them at the end of Summer in 97. The Cougs were playing UCLA so we decided to go. I went with my dad, brother, uncle, and my dad’s friend that is a huge Husky fan.
It was a great game. UCLA got stuffed on the goal line twice to end the game. I think Skip Hicks was taken out and the back up RB got stuffed.
Cougs won 37-34. After the game everyone commented on how it was a great game with two average teams. UW was preseason top 5 and the season was supposed to be the return to dominance. UCLA and WSU ended up being the two best teams in the PAC.
I believe it’s still the only college game I’ve been to that UW wasn’t playing. I went to a FCS game, but that doesn’t count.

The Ms were winning game 4 against the Yankees that day
Little Ern was at that game with mummy watching Papi stroke 2 dingers with 7 RBI. My real blood Papi came straight from Husky Stadium to the Kingdome that day. He wasn't happy, but then he became happy.
Fuck, being at Games 4 and 5 as a twerpy 9 year old will probably always be the peak of my in-person sports mammaries.

Yep, I remember the day well. UW lost after a snap went over the punter’s head and the Mariners were down 5-0. I went outside to play and came back to watch the big comeback.
