.30 plastic electric box you use to put your light switches and receptacles in (as basic to building a home as you can get) have been on backorder for 3 months, and will be rationed for the rest of the year at 25-30% of what my company would normally buy.

Local brewery wouldn't fill a growler. The fuck is this world coming to?
This counts, right @Logistics? -

Nobody’s mentioned Ammo yet. I have an order being delivered, tomorrow, that I ordered in January.

You just want it more. Respeck. I gave up and will let the guns sit idle until this passes.USMChawk said:Nobody’s mentioned Ammo yet. I have an order being delivered, tomorrow, that I ordered in January.

I’m stockpiling under the assumption that this may not pass. In two years I’m hoping to be ridiculed for my overreaction.YellowSnow said:

That will be a day of great self-deprecation. There are just times we want to be wrong.USMChawk said:

Why our military isn’t there fixing this I have no clue... -
Why there aren’t at least two more tug boats in that photo, I have no clue.HoustonHusky said:

I’d hate to be someone right now who’s favorite hobby is target shooting (other than maybe shells for clays and what not). Just a huge pain in the ass.USMChawk said:

The response to the grounded container ship has been abysmal. I can't believe how small the scale is considering the damage being done.

The Brits should still be in charge.dflea said:The response to the grounded container ship has been abysmal. I can't believe how small the scale is considering the damage being done.

Is the US not welcome there? The Army Corps of Engineers could have that out by lunch -
We have a large military contingent nearby but they now are too busy trying to start another war in Syria to be bothered with anything economic...

Hey don't underestimate those dogs. They can fucking dig. Just go have a beer, leave the dog alone, come back in an hour, and watch that ship break loose!

The number one draw back to being in Hawaii is not living amongst the hate of the Hawaiians (as unsophisticated travelers may believe). It is the logistics of getting your hands on everything that is not produced here.BennyBeaver said:
Thanks to the fucking pandemic, a resident's supply closet now needs to have toilet paper, spam, rice, collapsible water containers, water filters, masks, rubbing alcohol (fuck hand sanitizer), bleach and clorax wipes. Not just some, but a supply that will last several months. You simply couldn't buy that shit for the better part of six months. Just make sure to rotate your stock. Add to the back, take from the front.
Ignore this and every fucking hurricane/tsunami scare or supply chain disruption leaves you simply doing without life's daily necessities. Most container ships travel painfully slowly.
Its just wonderful for the outside world to be reminded that logistics do, indeed, fucking matter.
Just in time delivery. Fuck that noise. -
Yet you voted for the crew that brought us the Open Border Crisis, national lockdown and the Blockage of the Suez Canal

NO. I did not vote for trump in either 2016 or 2020.doogie said:Yet you voted for the crew that brought us the Open Border Crisis, national lockdown and the Blockage of the Suez Canal
Try again.

Denial or simply delusion?

We've been having trouble with our supply chain
Mostly getting shit in. Getting containers off the port is a fucking nightmare right now
It's easily adding 2-3 weeks.
Plus one of the ships that had our stuff lost like 700 containers. By the time they figure out that shit we might as well just reorder. -
