Public School Teachers: That's today's prototype.
Science, Math, Reading, Writing? Nope. Hallmarks of Privilege and Whiteness.
Hate, racism, irresponsibility, lack of empowerment, learned helplessness? Yup.
Keep creating all those government titty-suckers, fat lazy bitch. -
If you believe in thin privilege put down the fork *clap* *clap*

Seriously, why do teachers think they're so smart? Is there a single competitive College of Education on any college campus, anywhere in the entire country?
Best description a lawyer friend once said: "Teaching pays the bills while you're job hunting." -
She is bad at song writing too!!

That’s the problem with all these public employee unions. They’ve made it virtually impossible to fire people. It’s insane.DerekJohnson said:

Ronald Reagan fired something like 20,000 air traffic controllers. Would be nice to see Inslee fire the WA teachers who refuse to come back to work. Won't happen I know, but it's what is needed.EsophagealFeces said:

There's two sides to every contract negotiation. If an employee "can't be fired" because of the union contract, then management fucked up horribly when they agreed to the terms.DerekJohnson said:

Unions are a necessary evil and frequently cancerous for the victims - students and families - but the problem isn't the union per se, but the fat, lazy assholes on the management side that fail the public by not reading a contract before they sign it. -

Really should be discussed on the High Brow bored as it poses an interesting investment strategy.
Get teaching job in Maryland, Jack off on screen, get sent home With pay, day trade on Robinhood on Maryland’s dime. Become a multi-Millionaire, retire from not-teaching with a pension. -
That is the case with a private sector employers and a unions. In most cases with public employee unions you have a "management" that was bought and paid for by the Union sitting down with the union to "negotiate."TurdBomber said:

mostly they were union members that got promoted into management. No need to buy them. then they negotiate the contact for them former union brothers.SFGbob said:

The news never investigates any of this as they are unionized also and can't say bad things about unions. If they are covered they just barely say anything. -

Depends. In the schools, the district management isn't typically bought off. They are simply incompetent, lazy and unaccountable.SFGbob said:

If you go down the list, for example, you'll see lots of PhDs in a lot of school district offices, which allows them to call themselves "Doctor." (Hi Jill Biden),
But when you dig slightly deeper, you'll see that most of the PhDs are from online schools or schools you've never heard of like "Mining Hill State" or some shit like that, and when you actually talk to these folks, you realize they are complete dumbshits and their PhD credential is a scam that allows them to perpetrate a fraud upon the public. The examples in Seattle alone are numerous and severe. Why is the district always in crisis with all these PhDs supposedly running it? And so many are minorities, the race card is always in play. It's a fucking scam and I'm guessing they've played many of their final hands during this pandemic, because the charters are going to scoop up kids like crazy after all this union bullshit. -
