Necessary thinning of the herd. Need to weed out the mentally weak if the species will thrive in the long run.

This empty statement is the tell: The pipeline would have been an environmental disaster and we should be pushing every resource possible into renewables.
The KobeSlobberer is intellectually deficient. We already have over 50,000 miles of oil pipelines in the US. Is there an environmental problem with building one more brand new state of the art pipeline? Uh, no. What is an environmental disaster is all the raw materials and exotic chemicals needed to make these massively inefficient energy producers (solar and wind) produce energy except at night (solar) or when the wind doesn't blow (wind, most of the time). Chanting renewables while ignoring the huge increases in CO2 being produced by the chicoms is just the green gaia religionists like Kobe practicing their magic unicorn fart religon.

Yeah and claiming the pipeline would have been an "environmental disaster" isn't an empty statement.

There will never be enough solar or wind energy to meet our needs. Just ask China. They're building about 25 coal plants right now as I type. And they're exempt from the meaningless Paris Accords, too.

Find a way to extract lithium without destroying groundwater and the surrounding environment, without catching fire in engine compartments, and with a clean process for disposal or recycling, and I'm on board.

Unfortunately, it will be 2200 A.D. or so when that happens.

Better off planting trees, for now.
