Jen Cohen's letter to alums and fans

It reminds me when I offered to collect donations and contributions from fans and businesses to replace the 30” tube TVs in the old husky stadium with flat screen TVs that people could actually see. The old box TVs were non HD and had scratched screen covers that made it so you couldn’t even see anything. It was basically the same TVs Kim has in his bathroom. The AD didn’t care and said they didn’t need any help. Apparently those TVs were awesome or something.

The gall of these people to ask us to be "all in" when they couldn't get the money or will together to shit can bob greggory or boner or find a real OC is fucking infuriating.

Good to know. Might want to read my disclaimer. https://hardcorehusky.com/discussion/32182/a-welcome-message-to-newcomers-revised-2-26-2020#latestLawDawg1 said:. It was basically the same TVs Kim has in his bathroom.

The only way they're going to ever get out of the red is with new TV money.
Doing this to the fanbase is going to dry up these reservoirs, especially since the fans are more sensitive to poor products on the field than the TV stations.
The conference and the schools have no plan going forward except to get into more debt with the Pac-12 loan program. -

As I mentioned in another thread, if Cohen could work out some way to sneak in on this rumored (probably false one per the all knowing @MikeDamone) SEC/Super Conference one season deal *or* stage a Coup d'état against Larry Scott all will be forgiven and I’ll make my “All In” pledge TODAY! -
I was right. REAL DAWGS just make it a donation and re up with fresh cash next year c

You should get a refund and donate it directly to rowboat.YellowSnow said:Donating the cost of the 2020 tickets isn’t an option for me. At the same time, as much as I want to say FO, give me a refund, I can’t bring myself to do it. I got to do a lot of cool shit in college because some other rich fucks opened up their check books. So I think UW can keep my money in the bank as a small token of my gratitude.
My usual $ spent on football bullshit is going to Rugby's very modest scholarship fund. -
Libs will always seek to increase taxes before they cut expenses. Always.Tequilla said:@Baseman and @Doog_de_Jour are spot on
The Athletic Departments have been getting the shaft in the financial coffers from the ineptitude of Larry Scott and the P12 Network
The latency and tone deafness of Jen in instituting budget cuts has just continued to expand the financial gaps ... as a leader she’s leading by example ... if she won’t take a substantial budget cut how can she ask anybody else to?
In the end it’s the cumulative effect ... the solution has been let’s hit up our rich alumni base to pay the bills instead of holding ourselves accountable. Without going full Tug, it’s the same situation we see with Seattle/King County/Washington government as a whole of the solution to everything is more taxes.
Until the AD operates in an efficient and lean matter that expresses that they have a collective hunger vs operating as far and happy cats these kinds of criticisms are 100% on point and on brand. -

Surprisingly I haven't noticed rowboat asking me for any money since this shit went down.UW_Doog_Bot said:

Which brings up a few interesting questions:
Does the Pac-12 control UW's fall rowing schedule? Men's rowing is not an NCAA championship sport. We'd typically do the Head of the Charles and a head race at home. The Head of the Charles is going to be "virtual" this year (ohhhh kay), are we allowed to compete on ergs?
Will the fall golf and tennis events which usually happen be cancelled? The USGA is putting on the US Amateur in Pac-12 cuntry right now (Bandon Dunes) full of college golfers. The USTA will hold the US Open in a few weeks and is running youth tournaments again, though they did cancel the juniors championship of the US Open (PM to Dennis DeYoung: The wheelchair division championships are still being held). Those are socially distant, low risk sports by nature, is the Pac-12 really saying you can't compete in these right now?
As usual, we're retarded.
