The angry mob was trespassing. It’s pretty cut and dry. Personally, I don’t trespass out of reasonable fear that some nuttty homeowner might pull a gun on me. But that’s just me - I’m a pussy rule follower.
Just drove past their house. Given the layout, and the fact any stranger was where those pictures were taken, I have a lot of sympathy with the couple’s concern. It’s not a public through way. The sidewalk is on the other side of a high wall.
