Carville: "Significant Chance" Trump Drops Out, "Doesn't Make Much Sense For Him To Run"

anyone who isn't super plugged in politically is thinking about the economy, race, covid, etc. Most of them haven't a clue what you are talking about here, because it's nonsense. And it's especially dumb because no one associates Joe frieking Biden, the senator from MBNA basically a moderate republican, as someone who would do any of those things.UW_Doog_Bot said:
Let me think about what I care about more.incremetal_progress said:This shit appeals to nobody that wasn't already motivated to vote for Trump already. In fact it actively motivates people to vote against him.
1. The seizure of my property and further restrictions placed on my 1a and 2a rights.
2. Some mean tweets reacting to fs pc mob culture.
This is what people on the Left can't seem to grasp. There's bigger fish at stake than civilized rhetoric and political correctness. -
Wrong It's the end of political correctness. Trump knows the middle of the bell curve is up to their eyeballs with the bullshit. He knows it infuriates the leftists and causes them to do more stupid shit in AARGH MEAN ORANGE MAN mode - which just pushes the leftists farther away from the type of sane, rational people we want in charge of our country.incremetal_progress said:This shit appeals to nobody that wasn't already motivated to vote for Trump already. Dementia Joe is playing right into it by not condemning the crazies.

The "middle of the bell curve," aka your average American, is worried about the economy, COVID and race relations. They are not worried about the fucking Redskins changing their names.
And the second tweet is pretty disgusting. That looked like a fucking noose and many others that also saw it felt that way too. Maybe it was there since last fall, but to single out the person of color and demand he apologize is racism. The "middle of the bell curve" is not demanding an apology from Bubba Wallace right now. -
I have 4 kids and they unfortunately are the youth of America and its future politics.
Oldest is a flaming liberal and not sure how she got that way. Portland St?
Second is very sympathetic to the leftist cause as is her hubby. Educ: Arizona
Third: I thought was a little more level headed but is moving left and he told me Trumps tweeting is affecting him. He be an Engineer in the Ferry System
Fourth: Conservative and a CPA - but starting to give up on Trump's rhetoric, attack mode tweets.
Our best friends are die-hard leftists. He was a big union guy and his other half kind of buckled under with his constant ranting - MSNBC is their guide.
So that is what I see happening around my circle and it is scary.
Think I will go get a beer. -
The denial by the leftists is greater than 2016.
-
The Democrats have failed on the economy, the vid, and race relationsincremetal_progress said:The "middle of the bell curve," aka your average American, is worried about the economy, COVID and race relations. They are not worried about the fucking Redskins changing their names.

Their candidate is in the basement
You care about the noose and other bullshit because you know I'm right
You got no plan and no shot. Biden wants to transform America with the mob that is looting and burning
Good luck the rest of the way -

No one know nothing, including us.Tequilla said:I thought the 2016 election was difficult to handicap
That was easy compared to 2020
By conventional wisdom in conventional times, Trump is done, dead & buried. His greatest strength, the economy, is not in the shitter, it's all way out the pipe and fouling the waters off Victoria. Furthermore, before things went to hell, Trump had the failed impeachment fiasco to play. Now, I don't think anyone undecided remembers now or cares.
But holy shit, these are no conventional times. People are anxious and scared. That's not unprecedented, except now there's no tangible or external enemy. The enemy is us. It's all around. People are scared of daily life. The grocery store, crowds, the police, the neighbors, what's coming the mail, saying the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong people, making a wrong turn on a street. On and on. Fear is everywhere, and it's compounded by the fear that most didn't give a second thought to these things in January. Real or imagined, it's existential fear of the banal.
Trump doesn't have a good target to direct that fear against. He is, however, a great singular focus for Dems.
In mid-April, weº wondered if the electoral wild card might be some semblance of an economic light switch, and the 'Vid would be lost in the famously short American memory. That ain't happening.
However, the Intifada could be the next wildcard, the longer it plays out. I think the mid-to-far Left showed their hand too early. The George Floyd, police brutality, criminal justice reform message that I think a really large number of people support was lost within a week. Or as soon as #DefundThePolice was first uttered. If Dems think the majority of Americans like what unrolled once Defund became the narrative, they're fucking crazy. Furthermore, I think there is a significant number of people who have the implicit understanding that the worst of what happened occurred in Dark Blue jurisdictions. Then there's a big chunk of non-MAGA diehards who are pretty pissed about the ongoing national self-flagellation, separate from some fealty to Trump. They're just keeping their mouths shut.
Hang on to your ass Nov. 4. It's going to be ugly no matter who wins. -
it looked like a noose to a lot of the white crew members and officials. Why isn't Trump asking for them to apologize?thechatch said:

If Trump stays healthy, he is going to win, rather easily. If he does debate Biden, it will be record-shattering TV ratings and Trump's chance to speak common sense to the millions who despise him largely due to his demonic portrayal by the mainstream media. He will soften at least 10-20% of them.

Here's the thing, you can't admit to liking trump without getting attacked. There is a huge hidden vote here. Will be even more this time imo.Tequilla said:

I think it's a complete joke that Biden is the Democratic nominee ... dude can't complete a sentence without tripping over himself.
Trump's losing right now to that fool pretty significantly.
In 2016, I felt an undercurrent of people discrediting that Trump could win.
In 2020, I see Trump as nuclear as an option for better or worse ... if he gets re-elected it's going to be an ugly 4 years for this country.
I'd be jumping up and down to have 2 different candidates right now ...
Can't wait to see who Biden selects as his VP because I expect that whoever that is will serve over 1/2 of Biden's initial term.
I pay attention to what goes on around me and people that I know from around the country.
It’s possible that Trump wins and wins big because Biden is such a bad candidate ... even worse than Hillary.
It’s also very possible that Trump is such a bad candidate that people will vote for everybody but him.
The extremes are polarized at this point. What nobody has a great grasp is how the middle reacts. -
America is going to vote to give the radical left another giant middle finger.
Everything the left has done has aliented the center since 2016. Russia, Kavanaugh, peach mints, pee dossiers....it's all bullshit and no one sane cares or believes the lies anymore.
Ive been saying it for months...Trump is going to eviscerate Biden. Will the Tug antifa crew show up to eat their crow??? -
As usual South Park was way ahead of the curve on this.UW_Doog_Bot said:I've voted Dem as many times as I've voted GOP. The spying, the abuse of the impeachment system, being owned by the CCP, shifting towards socialism and away from free markets, I'm done with the Dems as they currently exist.
I fucking hate the Republicans.
Butt I hate the fucking Democrats even more.

I didn't leave the Democrats they left me

One of the great unsolved mysteries of the past four years is why certain types of people with certain types of jobs hate Donald Trump so much, really hate him, are obsessed over him.
Think about him when they wake up in the morning. Would hurt him if they could. Why the fixation?
It has nothing to do with the reasons that normal people sometimes get annoyed with Trump -- the bragging, the short attention span, the rants on Twitter.
None of that justifies hatred or obsession. Plenty of politicians have unappealing personal qualities.
Teddy Kennedy killed a woman and he is still a hero to the Democratic Party.
No, the reason the ruling class despises Donald Trump is because they can't control him. Trump throws the bit. He refuses to mouth their lyrics. He will not obey.
At any moment, Donald Trump is liable to come out with something that you're absolutely not allowed to say. Borders make countries, for example. China is our enemy. Whoopi Goldberg isn't that funny.
All of it undeniably true, and that's the point and the problem.
Trump's words hang in the air for all to see and to assess. And they are therefore a massive threat to people whose livelihoods depend upon fraud and lying.
Trump is the most dangerous to his enemies when he tells the truth. In fact, there are enemies precisely because sometimes he does tell the truth and he did the other day.
On Friday, the president gave a speech at Mount Rushmore, he spoke eloquently about the BLM riots, and what they mean for the country. Here's part of it.
**Make no mistake, this leftwing Cultural Revolution is designed to overthrow the American Revolution.
In so doing, they would destroy the very civilization that rescued billions from poverty, disease, violence and hunger, and that lifted humanity to new heights of achievement, discovery and progress.
To make this possible, they are determined to tear down every statue, symbol and memory of our national heritage.
Tucker shouldn't spill the beans like this but fortunately the left is too arrogant and stupid to get it yet

Why do so many white people capitulate to this social suicide? Because they're dumb? Weak? Or just Afraid?
Substitute any other group such as "blacks" or "Jews" for "White" throughout the materials, and you'd be labeled a racist and cancelled immediately. -

Whites. Blacks. Racism. Identity Groups. Blah, blah, blah.
Remember when it was bad to criticize Obama's "guilt by association" because he hung out with former Weatherman Bill Ayers?
When did we decide guilt by association, i.e., "whiteness," was okay again? Guess I didn't get the memo.
