If you thought the riots were bad now, wait and see what happens if one of these cops walks. They basically have to be convicted, fair or not, for the good of the country.

The idiots clamoring for Murder 1 and mad about that not being the charge would have gone insane had he walked on Murder 1 (which he would). There is no satisfying the mob right now. Convictions will help for the short-term, but this is not going to get any better without actual criminal justice reform.

Seemed like a trying to be good guy with a violent history and some chemical dependency issues who was out of work, broke, and tried to pass a fake $20 bill to eat. Oh well, better than robbing the store.

I wonder what the fuck the cop was thinking. Just let him lay on the ground until he calms down. He was cuffed. Completely unnecessary.

Sounds like the shut down and the subsequent loss of his job pushed him back into his old ways. Tragic.

One of the cops charged, it was his 3rd day on the job and he spoke up twice to 20 year vet Chauvin and was shot down

He isnt getting convicted of anything

The most senior officer on scene is in charge and responsible. I'm betting that was Chauvin. That rookie should have nothing to fear but they will fry him to placate the mobs. Talk about getting railroaded.

I am sure that some that want to burn the country down wanted Murder 1 - we ain't perfect in this country and this is one reason why no one will ever unite this vast country.

To me the important thing is charging the other three cops

That will actually bring about real change

This. Deserves a couple hundred Chins.

When a cop witnesses another cop applying excessive force - when it's clearly excessive - he can't stand by and watch another cop commit a crime right in front of him. And if he participates in the cover-up, he's an accessory. I want them all charged so we can hear all of their testimony, including cross-examination. That's the best version of the facts we'll ever get and if they plea out to something minuscule, we'll never know as much as we should.

Don't you mean "policing reforms" vs "criminal justice" reform? Justice is after the fact. The failures are on the front end, from contact to arrest. Or death. That's the shit that needs fixing.

Sleddy says the other cops are being railroaded because rookies.

Still didn’t deserve to die, but according to breaking reports...

Police body cam footage may not be favorable for the prosecution.

BREAKING: Full George Floyd autopsy reveals his blood concentration of the powerful street opioid fentanyl was 4 times the level known to cause "fatalities." Floyd also had speed & marijuana in system. First arresting officer on scene saw "foam" around mouth, asked if "on anything.”

To be fair, Sleddy said this, too, before it was out.

Maybe they are. And if the justice system does it's job, maybe they'll go free.

My bet is somewhere in between. But we need to hear the full stories, on direct and cross. Anything less is not enough.
