The rona, the meth, and the knee - the devils threesome
He shouldn't have died, but the fact people like the retired 77 year old black man are getting murdered by the butterfly effect from it is even worse
Fuck wanna be Marine cops and fuck anyone who damages private property. Period. -

It's still manslaughter at least. People on Twitter had to be educated about pre meditation for murder 1
Hope he doesn't skate on murder 2 -
People are stupid. Let's charge him for something that's not provable. Brilliant.RaceBannon said:It's still manslaughter at least. People on Twitter had to be educated about pre meditation for murder 1

It's possible. Not probable but after the OJ case, anything is possible.

thats what the DA would do if they wanted him acquitted so i take murder 2 as a good signMikeDamone said:

Seemed like a trying to be good guy with a violent history and some chemical dependency issues who was out of work, broke, and tried to pass a fake $20 bill to eat. Oh well, better than robbing the store.
I wonder what the fuck the cop was thinking. Just let him lay on the ground until he calms down. He was cuffed. Completely unnecessary. -
I'm guilty of thinking that way. I've been asking aloud why he wasn't charged for murder 1MikeDamone said:

Folks are afraid of the second wave of COVID- watch what happens if the cops are acquitted because the charges are too aggressive. Would love to hear that a plea deal is in the works that would be seen as fair and appropriate.

To me the important thing is charging the other three cops
That will actually bring about real change -
What did they charge them with? Criminal indifference? I do not disagree that they suck, but it's hard for me to determine what specifically they did wrong that is provable. Easy for a defense attorney to say "my dude was doing crowd control and could not see what was going on" or whatever (pick 30 defenses that amount to my dude didn't touch him and can't possibly be at fault). I haven't watched the video closely enough to determine if they were right up on Floyd or not.RaceBannon said:To me the important thing is charging the other three cops

“It’s not enough! All 4 cops need to be in jail for life!
And we need to defund the police nationwide!
No more cops!
Fight the system!”
God I hate stupid people. -

I don't really know the details. I do know at least one stood there and watched for 10 minutes
Next time see something do something.
If it saves one life -
Hey now, I think those three cops are total shitheads, I am just not sure how easy it will be to prove they are criminally liable. Since we have about 40 fucking attorneys around here maybe one of them can weigh in without going political. Just the legal facts and shit.RaceBannon said:

Two other cops were holding down torso and legs while he passed out. Chinaman was standing there watching.
All charged with aiding and abetting murder 2. -
Oh yeah, if they were holding him down they got problems.LoneStarDawg said:Two other cops were holding down torso and legs while he passed out. Chinaman was standing there watching.

Hard to look uninvolved. One was asking Derek if they should get off him, but clearly he should have done more.

Requires premeditation. Have to prove the cop planned it.DerekJohnson said:

One of the cops charged, it was his 3rd day on the job and he spoke up twice to 20 year vet Chauvin and was shot down
He isnt getting convicted of anything -
If you thought the riots were bad now, wait and see what happens if one of these cops walks. They basically have to be convicted, fair or not, for the good of the country.
The idiots clamoring for Murder 1 and mad about that not being the charge would have gone insane had he walked on Murder 1 (which he would). There is no satisfying the mob right now. Convictions will help for the short-term, but this is not going to get any better without actual criminal justice reform. -
Sounds like the shut down and the subsequent loss of his job pushed him back into his old ways. Tragic.NorthwestFresh said:Seemed like a trying to be good guy with a violent history and some chemical dependency issues who was out of work, broke, and tried to pass a fake $20 bill to eat. The most senior officer on scene is in charge and responsible. I'm betting that was Chauvin. That rookie should have nothing to fear but they will fry him to placate the mobs. Talk about getting railroaded.PostGameOrangeSlices said:One of the cops charged, it was his 3rd day on the job and he spoke up twice to 20 year vet Chauvin and was shot down

I am sure that some that want to burn the country down wanted Murder 1 - we ain't perfect in this country and this is one reason why no one will ever unite this vast country.BleachedAnusDawg said:If you thought the riots were bad now, wait and see what happens if one of these cops walks. When a cop witnesses another cop applying excessive force - when it's clearly excessive - he can't stand by and watch another cop commit a crime right in front of him. And if he participates in the cover-up, he's an accessory. I want them all charged so we can hear all of their testimony, including cross-examination. That's the best version of the facts we'll ever get and if they plea out to something minuscule, we'll never know as much as we should. -
Don't you mean "policing reforms" vs "criminal justice" reform? Justice is after the fact. The failures are on the front end, from contact to arrest. Or death. That's the shit that needs fixing.BleachedAnusDawg said:If you thought the riots were bad now, wait and see what happens if one of these cops walks. Still didn’t deserve to die, but according to breaking reports...
Police body cam footage may not be favorable for the prosecution.
BREAKING: Full George Floyd autopsy reveals his blood concentration of the powerful street opioid fentanyl was 4 times the level known to cause "fatalities." Floyd also had speed & marijuana in system. First arresting officer on scene saw "foam" around mouth, asked if "on anything.”

To be fair, Sleddy said this, too, before it was out.NorthwestFresh said:Still didn’t deserve to die, but according to breaking reports...

Maybe they are. And if the justice system does it's job, maybe they'll go free.creepycoug said:

My bet is somewhere in between. But we need to hear the full stories, on direct and cross. Anything less is not enough.
