Sonics said Huard’s commitment was 99%. So why is it not 100%? Could he not be a good fit for the offense uw is going to run?

You trusting Sonics now? -
Well Pumpy is good at everything, so I'm in.greenblood said:
They could recruit Pumpy as a punter, and Ballz would say he has potential to be the next Ray Guy.insinceredawg said:

Caleb Berry crystal ball. I love the style of RB he is and I think his upside is huge. He could develop into a cross between Marshawn Lynch and Derrick Henry. -
We? Fucking suck assbananasnblondes said:According to a few "insiders" we have given up on Cardwell and are taking this kid instead. Recruiting Cardwell might actually take some time and effort and in summer it's much more fun to spend your football coaches salary at the beach and camping rather than trying to call a kid.
Also sounds like the reason his commit video wasnt ready is because he wanted to go to Nebraska (the only other decent school recruiting him) and they dropped him and took a different guy. -
I like Hornbeak a lot more than this kid.
-
I'm a big fan of the 3* kids with huge upside that we have in this class. This guy is not one of them.

Glad he was able to get his commitment video donednc said: -
At least he's not an "Under the Radar" player. He's the 14th rated RB... in TX.

Average recruit with not a lot of upside so not a lot to get excited about. Didn't have any competition for him after Nebraska moved on so basically your typical KB recruit.

Who cares? 3-star recruits get drafted in the 1st and 2nd round too. Besides, everybody makes NFL comparisons for high school and college players and the best NFL players are the easiest names to know and remember. That’s why comparisons to NFL guys often involve some of the best players in the NFL or the best players ever. Who gives a fuck? Nobody is saying Berry is going to be a hall of famer like Marshawn Lynch you idiot. The comparison is simply based on comaparing certain similar attributes like size and running style. Just like how I compared Trey Lowe to Barry Sanders in high school. I wasn’t saying Lowe was the next Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders was simply the most like-for-like NFL comparison available for Trey Lowe’s size and running style as a RB in high school. Why are people so stupid they don’t understand this?insinceredawg said:

Just remember what Ballz said about Caleb Berry 4-5 years from now when he gets drafted. Feel free to keep being a bunch of miserable motherfuckers because a kid isn’t subjectively rated 4-stars by losers who don’t know shit about football talent. I’ll be fired up to get this kid. -
Not thrilled at all. That said, there are tons of good RB’s. Small and shitty schools have good RB’s all the time.
Not much production from this guy tho. Only 800+ yards last season. He seems like he might be serviceable, but like Sonics said, not much upside. -
Yeah, this guy did not do much. Compare his film to other recent 3 star RBs, Newton and Sunday. Both have way better film than this guy. Berry does have a better top gear though. I guess. I don't know anymore...RoadDawg55 said:Not thrilled at all. That said, there are tons of good RB’s. Small and shitty schools have good RB’s all the time.

Newton didn’t do much in high school either, but he was injured. There are always outliers. It’s still tbd if Newton really is a stud or merely a good rotational back.Kingdome_Urinals said:

I don’t care if they have 25 or 40 TD’s and there will always be Matthias Wilson’s, but high production in high school is normally the precursor to high production in college. Same for college to the pros. -
That was Pete's philosophy as well. Production over potential.RoadDawg55 said:

@sonics1993 - stick to being the fan with recruiting sources guy. You’re not the talent evaluator guy. I am. Stay in your lane. Your takes on recruits and their potential are terrible.sonics1993 said:Average recruit with not a lot of upside so not a lot to get excited about. I didn't see him switch the ball side one time. Every carry he kept it on his right.

This guy definitely has more juice than either of those 2.Kingdome_Urinals said:
