Feel about the same with the People's Republic of Portland. We would move to Tillamook County, preferably Cape Meares

They're damned near as thick as the white supremacists in North Idaho.

    Might have been Bruce

Bruce - Ketchum, ID. He used to jam at The Mint.

    Sun Valley superiority guy.

    Idaho

Least restrictive hunting laws in the country I believe

Scottsdale Arizona is pretty nice too, but the heat in the summer gets to be a little crazy.

Idaho is high on my list. I really enjoyed Scottsdale, but I can’t handle hot climates.
I have thought several times about relocating to Tempe, Scottsdale, or Santa Fe, NM. Regarding Arizona, I love the heat, but would also miss the rain and greenery.

The liberal politics around here sometimes seem too much.
    Now we're talking

Just get some vodka lemonade, chill in the pool, and murder political rivals

    Part and parcel imo

@Mad_Son and @PurpleBaze - what do you guys think about Madison, WI?

    #GoBadgers 🦡

How do you feel about affordable cost of living, low unemployment, good food and beverages, plenty of outdoor and cultural activities, and being within driving distance of three major cities without living in a congested nightmare?

Oh, and unrelatedly, how do you feel about cold winters?

When I had to answer the question where I wanted to live the rest of my life, I didn't end up going back to the PNW.

Pretty good about all of the above actually!

Demi and Ashton bought a town in Idaho

Small ski resort, I think it was. But Bruce dumped millions into Hailey, and thus down the drain. The Mint's in Hailey, Throbber, not Ketchum. But you ain't no Sun Valley Superiority Guy until you've gotten drunk at Galena and driven home in a whiteout.

Not sure I'd leave the PNW just to escape Seattle, but Palm Springs or the Carmel Valley would be nice. Santa Fe also.

I have thought about Spokane actually, which is hilarious because 1) I was born there and 2) arrogant teenager DDJ swore never to return to Eastern WA.
I like Spokane. But I think about Bellingham. You've still got the water and you can go either North or South for big city events when you want to.
Bellingham is nutty expensive for what it offers, and politically following Seattle, but without the economic base. Hard pass.

    You got me there.

    McCall > Sun Valley, btw.

I prefer the aura of Hemingway's splattered brains that still hangs over Ketchum. Especially while drinking at the Casino.

And Mariel is hot as fuck in person. What a beauty. The cameras don't do her justice.

There’s a place across the dirt road from me that’s for sale. i think the seller is negotiable on leaving the chain link fencing. Hit me up for details.

Bellingham is about half the price as Seattle but about twice as liberal (yes it's possible). Gorgeous place to be with access to the best mountain in WA that doesn't get crowds.

But unless you're a burnout or retired, your options are limited.

If you had to relocate (time, money, job not being a problem), where would you go?

    Vienna

Sacramento because we're like an hour away from a bunch of places you actually want to be.

It's like living in purgatory with high upside.

That would be Salem as well. But don’t move here. It’s hell bent on becoming Portland.
