Well, bye... (Relocating from the PNW Thread)

If you had to relocate (time, money, job not being a problem), where would you go?

Idaho
Least restrictive hunting laws in the country I believe
Scottsdale Arizona is pretty nice too, but the heat in the summer gets to be a little crazy. -
Not sure I'd leave the PNW just to escape Seattle, but Palm Springs or the Carmel Valley would be nice. Santa Fe also.

Temecula
We'll leave a light on for you
My wife is why we're here -
You can come live in our basement. My wife is hot and I like to watch.Doog_de_Jour said:I went on a walk with one of my friends this weekend and the subject of moving came up. We both are getting pretty fed up with the Seattle area. It’s chinteresting that I’ve had multiple people in the past month express the same views.

How many liberals do they let you take?PandaOrangeChiknDuck said:Idaho

Sacramento because we're like an hour away from a bunch of places you actually want to be.
It's like living in purgatory with high upside. -
I have thought about Spokane actually, which is hilarious because 1) I was born there and 2) arrogant teenager DDJ swore never to return to Eastern WA.HHusky said:Not sure I'd leave the PNW just to escape Seattle, but Palm Springs or the Carmel Valley would be nice. Santa Fe also.

Idaho is high on my list. I really enjoyed Scottsdale, but I can’t handle hot climates.PandaOrangeChiknDuck said:Idaho

I like Spokane. But I think about Bellingham. You've still got the water and you can go either North or South for big city events when you want to.Doog_de_Jour said:

Plenty of open space and plots for sale near the G&R Compound.Doog_de_Jour said:I went on a walk with one of my friends this weekend and the subject of moving came up. Panama or Costa Rica in the winter. North Idaho or Western Montana in the summer.Doog_de_Jour said:I went on a walk with one of my friends this weekend and the subject of moving came up. The dark and the gray from November into February I'd be happy to skip. The PNW is a pretty nice place to be the rest of the year.PurpleThrobber said:

Summer is from July 5th to the day before Labor Day
-
Well, for Western Washington Summer is from 5th of July into September. True.RaceBannon said:Summer is from July 5th to the day before Labor Day
The PNW is beautiful in the Fall and Spring. The PNW is a lot more than Western Washington. -

Bozeman Mt or Jackson Wy.

I am actually thinking of the higher elevations on the big island Hawaii - temps stay fairly cool and enuff rain to fill the cisterns. it is surprisingly inexpensive for a small house and acreage. Food and Utilities are killers
I moved to Pacific county and it is kind of stormy. but I don't have to deal with all the politics. Western Washington is great if one likes 50 shades of gray. -

Just move across the sound.
The PNW is the place to be. The weather can be a drag sometimes, but it doesn't fucking kill you like it does in some places. And you don't have to shovel rain.
Take a look outside right now. Pretty nice. It's pretty nice around here a lot. I left Seattle when I graduated from UW because the city wasn't for me. I didn't leave western Washington though because the outdoors opportunities and scenery we have here are pretty hard to find elsewhere. I like a beach, but I like a river with steelhead and salmon better.
Not everyone gives a shit about the outdoors, but the Puget Sound region offers way more than that. -
Inland PNW is awesome. Love it. It's America still.
