Pass protection has been great so far. Morris’ best skill so far has been his movement in the pocket. He steps up and moves around when needed. Eason would have been sacked more than once. Allowing one sack in 3 games is good shit. It’s a team effort and has been fun to watch.
It's nice having a QB with that instinctive ability to move and dodge in the pocket without the play breaking down. UW hasn't had one for a while. Browning and Eason in particular did not have that skill.
He's also weirdly good at throwing when scrambling to his left.
He gets a lot of velocity on those throws. The game winning TD to Otton was not only fast but also in front of Otton where he had to go get it. The defender was tailing Cade and if that ball was on his body or a touch behind its possibly knocked away.
Amazing placement on a ball that was thrown while running away from your dominant side.
Lake mentioned during the Lake Show with Castricone that Jon Don practices this situation with the QBs every day. Nothing is there, climb the pocket, get yourself parallel to the line of scrimmage, find someone coming across to meet you, square up your hips and fire the ball.
Every day. And we’ve seen it from Morris multiple times this season. JonDon has broken the bullshit habit of running backwards that Babushka and Hamdan couldn’t break in their QBs.
Or Morris just has a natural feeling for the pocket. Either way I don’t care. It’s great.

Oh, also note: it was the same exact situation and play he made earlier in the drive to Nacua on the diving catch. I love it.

1) UW Twitter is pushing highlights and stats and in the locker room clips. Lake is giving a look behind the curtain and it’s the kind of content to get fans, players, and recruits excited. The players in turn are also sharing clips and talking shit and hyping up fans and then celebrating on the field. Can’t say enough how refreshing that shit is.
2) Lake may remind some people of Sark with the hype and talk and stuff, but his players clearly love it, and it showed buy in and brass balls to have a half like that and then come out and win that game instead of shrinking like we are used to.
3) Keep fucking doing all of it, but keep winning and backing it up. Hype is nothing without the wins.
Just looking over some PFF tweets shit. Not 100% sure on ZTF but right now UW has -the #1 and #7 highest rated CBs in the country (Molden and McDuffie) -the #1 rated P5 linebacker (Eddie) -im assuming the #1 defensive edge player (ztf)
That is insane. Im just gonna sit here and let my underwear get crispy
PFF is only worth a shit if it makes youº look good, and it's doing its part now.
Hence the reason I only poast the good stuff when I poast PFF. I regularly skip over anything that doesn’t.
. Doogs gotta do their part to make their Dwags look good.
Do serious people really put any credence into PFF’s stuff?
But free pub is free pub, especially when it looks good.

Doog it up doods.
If he was Sark he would have been screaming at the kids the entire first half. Lake was calm, cool, and collected.
Did anyone else notice ty jones was the closest to otton when he scored and didn’t even celebrate? Just slowly walked off the field.
I did notice that.
I also remember from the Army All-American game when Ty went up for a similarly underthrown deep ball and he attempted to body catch it just like Saturday against Utah and it bounced off of him. I remember thinking, "Hmm, that doesn't look natural. Hopefully Bush can coach it out of him."
DyMo's deep ball sucks, especially the one he threw to Ty, but that should have been a catch. What WR doesn't want to make a play like that on the ball? He's nowhere close to a playmaker and is devolving into Braden Dickey.
Hell, Cade is the most beautiful pass catcher we have on this team. Love his mitts and how he never catches it with his body.
Ty just seems like a huge puss and would rather salsa dance than be a playmaker for a contested deep ball.

Speaking of which:

Even with his size he is physical and a massive help on run plays, he shuts down any play to the flat on his side, and have been great in coverage.
He will be an excellent nickel/slot corner in the NFL
