The secondary reason we are fucked if Eason leaves early

It puts a 1 year space between Eason and Huard which, on it's own, sucks. But then you think about the fact that Huard will be competing against an incumbent QB likely Sirmon or Morris). If that QB has s halfway decent season in 2020, Stubborn Pete will be extremely reluctant to replace his previous starter and we could have a situation where Huard is asked to sit a few years...which will end badly.

You play Huard, day 1. Why, because this staff has NEVER developed any talent at the QB position, it has always been plug and play. Browning 4 years, Eason for 2 (hopefully). We haven't seen a QB come up and dazzle and challenge Pete's @TheChart I don't expect this to change, especially when it comes to talent at the offensive skill positions.
