"I have four offers and right now, Cal and Washington are standing out the most," said Prentice, who also has offers from Oregon State and USC.
The Bears offered Prentice in May when he visited prior to The Opening Regional and the Huskies became the first school to offer him in his junior season, when they offered earlier this month.
In fact, it was the game between those two teams in which he was offered prior.
"I went to the Washington-Cal game and so far that’s the only local one this year," said Prentice. "The game at Washington was really cool. I had a great time being down on the sideline and watching their pregame."
The Huskies came by to see Prentice in the spring and he was at their camp this summer watching.
"This spring, Washington came by and so did Oregon State and a few others,"s aid Prentice.
Prentice has more schools showing interest in him too.
"I've been hearing from Oklahoma, LSU, Washington State and Stanford," said Prentice.
During the summer, he camped at Michigan, Notre Dame and Wisconsin and also fit in a couple of Pac-12 visits.
"This summer I visited USC and Stanford," said Prentice, who picked up his offer from the Trojans on that visit. "Each visit was unique and I enjoyed all of them."
He's hoping to take some more trips this fall.
"For this fall, I don’t have any plans set in place but there are a few games out of state I’m going to try to make," said Prentice.
Prentice said he has good relationships with a couple of coaches and a few are recruiting him hard.
"I’m being recruited the hardest right now by Washington, USC and Cal," said Prentice. "I have a really good relationship with Coach (Scott) Huff at Washington and also Coach (Steve) Greatwood at Cal."
But he doesn't plan to name a top school or make a decision for some time.
"I am going to wait before I name a favorite," said Prentice. "And I’m going to wait until after junior year to make a decision."
"Right now, Cal, USC and Washington are recruiting me the hardest," said Prentice. "I probably have the best relationship with coach (Scott) Huff at Washington because it’s so close and it’s easy to go over and visit."
Prentice said in a few months, he anticipates shortening his list of suitors.
"I’m hoping to narrow down my decision this spring or summer," said Prentice. "I'll possibly name a top five but it might be more than that depending on who offers. I don’t know exactly when I’ll make a decision but I know I’m going to wait until next season."
