There is far more homogeneity in American culture by region than existed in 1789. Most of those people regarded themselves as New Englanders, Virginians, etc. at least as much as they did Americans. And in an America that stretches from the Atlantic to the Pacific, the risk that someone can win the popular vote merely by winning a landslide victory in any particular place is much less than it was then.

And you still make no argument. Clinton won by a landslide in California. Which made the difference in popular vote. So it seems that’s still a risk.

    “The electoral college is antiquated!!!”

What changed in the last 200+ years that makes it antiquated?

    “The person I hate won!!!!!!”

    OK!!!

However much sense an Electoral College made with 13 states, culturally unique regions, no mass communication and transportation by horse, it makes little sense now.
How so. Please explain. You didn’t make an argument.

We still have culturally unique regions. Why is it antiquated?

Saying they electoral college is antiquated is the equivalent to saying a representative republic is antiquated. I’m thinking leftists would agree a representative republic is antiquated though.
But socialism is hip and new!

    Don't dig you'll hit 100 million skeletons.

Imagine how big Trump would win the popular vote without all the illegals pouring into the country under the Trump administration.

Like AOC, H hates the Constitution and the rule of law.

Or maybe you should rally up the 2/3 of the states needed to amend it.....mmm'K?

Amending the Constitution shows hatred for the Constitution? I guess we all miss slavery.
Like always -H missed the point.

Change the fucking law if you don't like it. For now, it's the law. Deal with it and quit whining like a bitch.

How, exactly, do you think it would ever get changed without talking about it?

If you disagree with a law the only way to change it is to make your argument. Over time, if it’s a good argument, you’ll convince people to agree with you.

This is what happens when you put a good argument up against a bad argument. You guys realized this and now, instead of arguing because you’ll lose, you do bullshit like say people hate the constitution and rule of law. You want to throw socialism in there somehow as well? Maybe everyone against it is a rapist or a murderer or a drug dealer? Perhaps the terrorists want the electoral college gone? All your fear mongering is bullshit anyways might as well jam everything in there.

Bring it. Call the Constitutional Convention then.

Oh....can’t rally the prescribed votes? Trying to backdoor it through state legislatures.

The SCOTUS will slap that shit into the third row like Dikembe Motumbo.

Is this about the electoral college today or gay marriage in 2002?

The world goes round and round. Go far enough 'North' and you'll end up in the South Pole. Same with 'progress.' The Romans, Greeks, Egyptians were so progressive in the later stages of their societies that they became regressive, like the socialist lords you worship.

So you want an activist supreme court to override state's rights, so that's good to know.

There is nothing in the constitution that says how state's must allocate their electoral votes, so what would be slapped down exactly?

The tyranny of the majority is still a tyranny. Leftards love to control others. Liberty and freedom are overrated. The tug leftards love themselves some chicoms

So instead we get the tyranny of the minority. But it helps the political party you agree with so it's great!

Yeah....absolute tyranny since 1788. Crazed fascism.

I'm sure we can find something since the left can't understand "shall not be infringed" they should be easy to dupe.
