I think we can all agree HHusky is the most likely next shooter

    Wouldn't I need a gun?
They are evidently available via the internet with no background checks. Order one up.
I thought we'd established that I was a pansy assed faggot because I don't want to own a gun.

You'll have to do the shooting for both of us, Captain America.
We'll be on opposite sides. HTH

    Was it a good meeting?

Sledog, that link was the funniest thing I have watched in months. That is exactly what liberal leaders want to turn our country into.

He's right. It's a stupid analogy. Try another one.

I have nothing to add here. We've always had guns and we've always had mental illness. Don't know what's changed other than the first guy who let the genie out of the bottle and then established the blue print for the bananas that followed.

Sure I think it would be marginally helpful for everyone to tone down the political rhetoric, but it's not going to stop it entirely. Fanning the flames of one nut's issue dejour doesn't help of course but it isn't the root cause of the whole thing IMHO. The guy who killed 21 in San Diego bought a boom box with him and played that dreadful The Warrior song. I remember people arguing "it was that song!" Lolz.

More guns so everyone can shoot back? Sounds like more mess to me, even though it's a sledog wet dream. But, Never going to collect them all. Nutties will always find them. Too late for that.

I got nothing here. Except maybe just stay home.

Time to “infringe” on this privilege, not right. Let’s know who has guns and make them qualify and requalify to possess them. Hard time for unlawful possession. And some weapons should simply be unlawful per se.

And no, any step toward improvement won’t be simple or perfect. But not one of these gun fetshists talking about mental illness really want to do anything about that either. It’s just a distraction.
It is not practicably feasible to collect the guns. Sure, I'll take tighter regulation. Most reasonable people would. But guns are here to stay. Have to make peace with it and find a work around to the problem, if there be one to find.
I’m not setting any unrealistic expectations. I understand many will violate the law if you tighten regulation. But there should be no question that those who do so will be punished.
It's worked so well for drugs. The left just makes more lenient laws or doesn't enforce them or simply releases all those convicted as in Kalifornia.
Madam, you really need to pick a lane. “The left” is more behind the effort I’m proposing than the right is. And fines can also be criminal penalties. Jail time isn’t the only option.
The left doesn't enforce shit if they think they can get a vote out of it. Felon voting. Let's see who's in favor of that? Illegals voting? States now register them. Who'd do such a thing? Let 60K felons out of prison? Why must be those conservatives.......
MallCop is now worried gun control wouldn't be enforced by "the Left".

Seriously, when was your last physical?
Weird, no problem with beating a dead horse in this thread.

To be clear, I'm not in favor of gun control.

With that out of the way, your reasoning here leaves much to be desired. Hoping that helps a little.

What reasoning would work? How does one stop people bent on evil? Without prior warning it's impossible. Most likely there was some but maybe not enough to trigger anything. Most of the mass shooters are on anti-depressants and I think they just snap. Most of those warnings that come with that medication seem to happen at some point. Usually takes years.

I wish I had the answers. All I can do is shoot back if it happens where I am. Of course men running toward the gunfire with guns stopped the latest one. Those damn fools! Son't they know someone might get hurt?

I'm merely pointing out that we? put all kinds of laws on the books for behavior that will never been eliminated, and we know it. Rape, murder, stealing, drunk driving, incest, illegal drugs, etc. etc. None of those things are ever going away, but we put laws on the books forbidding them.

Right Wing nutcases get false confidence and delude themselves into believing they have popular support from misinterpreted musings of politicians, actors and public figures who occasionally say something they like or agree with.

Left Wing nutcases (aka the City of Portland) get false confidence and delude themselves into thinking they are pushing popular ideas when the air they swing their poles at doesn't swing back.

Both are hopeless scumbag dumbshit losers for life, but the right wingers have an affinity for guns they way left wingers have an affinity for bombs and self-hatred. (Sorry, progressives, but the 60's actually happened and you can't run from them.)

Guns are just quicker to use and easier to get than bombs. Otherwise, Antifa would've already blown up a bunch of banks.
