    It could very well be effective. They could move thousands of people out of homelessness every year. But if the same number continue to flock to the city seeking their "compassion", then it's money poorly spent.

    The reason California is the bastion of wealth and success is because refugees and asylum seekers come here en masse to achieve the Golden State Dream. They are welcome because they work. Always have. Always will. Sanctuary state status assures it.
