Took a ride on my motorcycle earlier and had to chuckle when I rode by Fairfax.

Cool story, brah!

    I don't get it

Pumpy likes to make a lot of references to the Fairfax mental hospital, especially when it comes to @MikeDamone.

I'm sure Pumpy is a current resident.

Anyway, try to keep up, bitch!
I find it hard to keep up with geographic references of places I haven't been within 800 miles of

    Like the Netherlands?
    I actually went to Amsterdam

My sister did a study abroad there

I paid a shady dude 20 euros to steal me a bike.

Crash one in T3 at the Ridge last Sunday and then pop off!

I was totally planning on stopping for dinner/beers at the Wig Wam on my way home, too, just for HCH bragging rights, but staying late to scour the field my bike landed in for my datalogger left no time. Fuckin' sucked.

Dumped mine in early March on a surface street... fairly low speed. Bent the foot shifter and frame slider in. Also scraped the shit out of the stator cover. Replaced the foot shifter and patched up the stator cover. I'm having new frame sliders installed in a couple of weeks.

My gauntlet gloves got destroyed too. Anyway, I went out and bought better gauntlets with good palm padding.

Best gloves in the world: Held. German made, and they have half sizes and short/long finger lengths, so you can get them to fit perfectly. Kangaroo leather with stingray leather in the high abrasion areas, so they're light, feel awesome, and crash amazingly well. Have been super impressed. Way better than the A* Supertechs I ragged out in a previous crash, although those gloves lasted me over a decade and through three crashes, so no complaints there.

Frame sliders: Woodcraft. Bolts for the pucks mount perpendicular to the puck itself, so you can grind them halfway down without destroying the bolts. Makes them a lot easier to replace after a crash (no drilling and bolt extraction).

Stator covers: Also Woodcraft. The difference between them and other brands is that they have removable stainless slider plates that you can replace after a crash. Replacing a $20 plate beats replacing a $150 billet cover. Recent experience suggests replacement parts arrive in under three days, too.

Now that I think about it, just ordering everything in the Woodcraft catalog and bolting it to your bike is a sensible move if you ever plan to crash. I guess it mostly depends on what you ride. I think most of their stuff is oriented toward the sporty side of things.
