The 3-tech version of Greg Gaines. Wouldn't be a super sexy pick up, but he could become a good player and fan favorite for his physicality, effort, and grittiness. He even wears #99 like Gaines. Too bad for him Bandes has #99 locked up for a while. But he could wear #90 and get the Empterman comparisons if he develops into an All-Conference player.

Van Fillinger 4.25 shuttle tho

I wonder if he was told to hold off on committing to UW.

Nothing I said screams he's elite. He's a gritty try hard white guy I was trying to rationalize as a UW recruit even though he's a step down in talent from what we got last class. Could have been good with the aide of UW's player development. Now, he'll be another JAG D-lineman for Oregon.blackmamba said:StrongArmCobra said:The 3-tech version of Greg Gaines. Crystoballs: Hey Trey, how's it going? So this guy is going to be committing to Washington on Friday, and we wanted him too. It's gonna look really bad. You think you can go ahead and commit right after he does?StrongArmCobra said:Lol at Oregon trying to bury Rosengarten's commitment with a couple of 3-star commitments of their own. You know they are timing that shit up on purpose. Shipley's a good pickup for them. He plays hard and physical. Could have been a nice long term rotational player for us. But he ain't shit compared to the D-lineman we already got last class. They ain't drowning out that L they took for Rosengarten no matter how hard they try!
Benson: Yessir.

Shipley: Yessir.

This certainly helps considering the DL class out west. -
