It isn’t going to kill you and will go away after awhile, but it’s annoying that you caught it and sure as hell isnt going to make anyone want to fuck you. M
Edit: I realize this doesn’t make sense in regards to message board threads getting all fucked up. Fuck me.

Went back and watched through his HUDL. He's certainly an accurate guy, but his arm is not really at the level you want to see and that's why he's not a top-flight prospect. He can move around a little bit, but he's not going to be a great scrambler (not sure he'll even be Browning level).
He does have some touch on some deeper throws, but some of his tougher throws arrive with just a little bit less zip than you want to see. The one of these that stood out to me was a TE post to the right sideline that was caught, but just did not have the arm strength you want to see on the throw. It felt like it took forever to get there, like one of those Brownsocks out route throws.
I did notice, however, that his arm might be a little stronger than it looks on film. His delivery doesn't seem to be maximizing his arm. If you watch the first throw on his film, he doesn't step into it that much or really wind up at all. It looks like he doesn't think about it. He just lets loose a 40 yard bomb that's perfectly delivered with touch to a guy just breaking over the top.
The second throw, while located well, shows off a really funky delivery, with a lowered slot. Some of it is to avoid the rusher, but it noticeably takes a lot off his ball. The trend continues throughout the video - when he doesn't think about it and just lets one go, it's usually a really good throw. When he tries to aim it on a tight throw, he changes his delivery, almost like a pitcher in baseball. He throws some of these like it's a 3-0 count and a bad pitch loses the game. Every time he just lets it go, it's a good throw.
The question is, if he can learn to quit thinking and just let it rip, can he be better than the other guys on the board? I don't think he'll ever touch the top tier QB's like DJ, but he certainly doesn't suck. I think this is the type of guy who, under Pete, could develop into being a solid player, but for most other teams, he'd be just OK. And I think the issue is that we don't want just OK when we have guys like Yankoff, Sirmon, Morris, Eason, and Huard in the wings.
I think that's why there's a lot of crap about this on this bored. We all know we should be getting the best players at every position EVERY cycle, and so getting a guy whose ceiling is just solid is NOT what we're going for. I'm going to wait to really pass judgement until we see his senior film. If he shows up with improved arm strength and mechanics, he's already better than Brownsocks was. If not, then there will be more questions about why we took a spring commitment.
TL;DR

What matters is stacking enough talent that the best earn the right to be on the field and that there’s enough depth in the program to absorb transfers with depth behind to support
The reality is that starting QB position going forward looks like this:
2019: Eason
2020: ??? or Eason if he returns
2021: ??? + Huard when he takes the job (see Trevor Lawrence)
2022-2023: Huard
2024: probably somebody from the 2023 class -
Pretty much agree with this crystal ball. Huard is next level. You can just see it.Tequilla said:What matters is stacking enough talent that the best earn the right to be on the field and that there’s enough depth in the program to absorb transfers with depth behind to support

Huard is not beating out everybody as a true Freshman. JFC he's an amazing talent but that's some doog shit. Shit like experience, understanding of the playbook, and physical development matter. We're not doing the true Freshman QB shit ever again under Petersen. There's too much talent behind Eason to think that will happen. I'm predicting:
2019: Eason RS Junior (Early entry NFL)
2020: Sirmon RS Sophomore
2021: Sirmon RS Junior (Early entry NFL)
2022: Morris RS Junior
2023: Morris RS Senior
2024: Huard RS Junior
2025: Huard RS Senior -
The only way Dylan Morris ever starts over Huard is if Huard’s injuredStrongArmCobra said:Huard is not beating out everybody as a true Freshman. JFC he's an amazing talent but that's some doog shit. Maybe not 2021 but 2022 a RS Frosh Huard > RS Junior also with no starting experience MorrisStrongArmCobra said:Huard is not beating out everybody as a true Freshman. Morris is deadly accurate, very consistent, and has a strong arm. I think he's got the poise and confidence that seems to separate guys at the QB position. If he can translate his game to the college level playing behind taller offensive lineman I think he will be a starter at UW. If Sark was still our coach, sure Huard would start over everybody immediately because Sark just played the best talent. But Petersen values trust, maturity, experience, and all that slow strategy white guy shit, especially at the QB position. With all the blow out games UW is going to have, Morris will have a lot of back up game reps under his belt as well as way more practice reps than Huard.
When you have a guy who has put in the work, has more experience, is deadly accurate and consistent day in and day out, and is poised on the big stage, it's impossible to deny him the starting job. I think Morris could be one of those kind of guys and if he is, Huard will have to wait his turn because Petersen values experience, trust, and consistency over raw, unproven talent.
Basically I'm saying I think Morris could surprise people and develop into a 1st or 2nd round draft pick type of player and won't be denied the starting job at UW.
