Jesus Christ then let the kid play linebacker. How is it that we keep running kids off from maybe the thinnest position on the team?
Pressing. He was at fullback for how long? He was there, a position we don't even use, and you think he should be retained to play lb? I haven't seen that level of logic since I lingered on dawgman after Pete was hired and the worst doogs tried to prop Sark up by pressing to find Petersen's flaws. purpledawgfan level FS.
Ektard says he was speaking with a player’s parent on the sideline. Not sure how much they are in the know, but....
He said the coaches are really starting to think about moving Bryant to Safety and then letting Dom and Kyler fight out the starting Corner spot based on how good they have looked.
CB: Taylor CB: Hampton/Gordon Nickel: Molden Safety: McKinney Safety: Bryant
Later in practice they rolled out that lineup like the parent thought.
Ugh, still not the right choice IMO but moving in a better direction. Bryant has good instincts as well. Is he big enough to tackle running backs as the last line of defense?

He’s probably the best tackler on the team.
Yeah, Bryant was damn good in run support coming from the nickel. Not Budda level but still strong

He's an ankle biter who has made most of his tackles close to the line of scrimmage when guys don't have a full head of steam and/or don't have time to react after catching the ball in the flat. Being an ankle biter nickel and a real tackling safety like Taylor Rapp who could consistently drop running backs one-on-one when running backs had time to build up some speed further down the field and could see him coming is completely different. I thought this was common sense. I guess not.
