No they don’t. Just because every 4 star doesn’t become a high draft pick doesn’t mean they don’t develop WR’s.StrongArmCobra said:
All I know is Ohio State sucks at developing WR's. Their WR's leave the same as they came in. The ones who were going to the NFL no matter what school they chose, go to the NFL. The ones that were highly rated but needed to be developed, don't make it. When you recruit at a top-5 level, you're gonna have top draft picks at every position no matter what. Doesn't mean good development is going on at every position. They have a lot of 4-star flame outs at WR.dirtysouwfdawg said:1to392831weretaken said:

They have a bunch of 4-star WR recruits that have gone undrafted. Like I said, when you recruit at the level they do they can just sit back and let the cream rise to the top at WR and don't have to develop the other guys which they don't. Whoever rises to the top will be a star and would have been no matter where they went. If they developed WR's well those other 4-star WR recruits that don't become the big stars and 1st round picks should still be getting drafted in the later rounds. Not going undrafted. That's not great development. That's great recruiting.RoadDawg55 said:

They also got rid of Zach Smith. The whole x-school can't produce x-position narratives are so dumb and pointless when coaches change every other year.

Due to poor talent evaluations and player development. Is that an excuse for Ohio State? You're just full of excuses and defenses for them aren't you.FremontTroll said:

We don't have a bunch you idiot. Kelly was a Sark recruit. Joyner retired. Hale got kicked off the team. Gilchrist is probably the only one. You're reaching hard as fuck. I'm right. You're wrong, get over it bitch. Ohio State just passes a couple WR's through to the pros here and there and then the rest of their elite WR recruits don't make it. They are not known for being WRU or anything like that when they get some of the best WR talent in the country every year.dnc said:

Reaching so hard. There's no winning for you. They do not develop WR's like Jimmy Lake develops DB's. Give Junior Adams a couple years and he'll start pumping receivers into the league and his guys will get drafted from the high rounds all the way through the lower rounds.dawgs206 said:

28 WR’s were drafted this past year. OSU had 2 of the top 12, only Ole Miss has more. OSU had two drafted in 2017 (2nd and 7th rounds) and two more in 2016 (2nd and 3rd rounds)
If anything, they’ve been putting more WR’s into the league recently than all but a couple of programs, but carry on. -

Four were drafted.
50%>>>>20-25% national average.
During that time two 3*s were also drafted.
Of the four that weren't drafted one had injuries but still made NFL, another played 3 years in NFL despite going undrafted, one was JuCo, and one just was never good.
(I didn't count Curtis Samuel or Braxton Miller who were both drafted as WRs but not recruited as WRs.) -
The point would be most 4*s have to go undrafted based on basic arithmetic.StrongArmCobra said:
Doesn't apply to Ohio State. They recruit almost exclusively 4 and 5 star receivers.FremontTroll said:
That would be the point.StrongArmCobra said:
Yeah no shit, because 3-star guys get drafted too. More excuses.FremontTroll said:
There are more 4/5 star recruits per year than there are players drafted by the NFL.StrongArmCobra said:
Due to poor talent evaluations and player development. Is that an excuse for Ohio State? You're just full of excuses and defenses for them aren't you.FremontTroll said:
75-80% of 4-star recruits go undrafted.StrongArmCobra said:

If they developed WR's well those other 4-star WR recruits that don't become the big stars and 1st round picks should still be getting drafted in the later rounds. Not going undrafted. All I know is Ohio State sucks at developing WR's. Their WR's leave the same as they came in. The ones who were going to the NFL no matter what school they chose, go to the NFL. Ballz I appreciate that you love UW and will spread the UW gospel no matter what.
But have you considered that you would have more credibility if you just pushed the UW narrative when the facts supported it?
(I'm thinking of that west coast football (?) twitter account.) -

Comment was deleted for some reason... Please tell me how this is a reach.
There are currently 62 4-star WR for 2020, according to 247. That number was 46 last year. They can’t all be drafted, especially in the first couple of rounds.
28 WR’s were drafted this past year. OSU had 2 of the top 12, only Ole Miss had more. OSU had two drafted in 2017 (2nd and 7th rounds) and two more in 2016 (2nd and 3rd rounds)

You dismissed guys that were rated as "athletes" that they brought in as WR's. It's definitely way more than 8 during that time span. Do more research and get back to me.FremontTroll said:

Four were drafted.
50%>>>>20-25% national average.

USC has done better getting WR's drafted and having those WR's perform well in the league and we all know their coaching staffs have been shit since Carroll left.
Ohio State is just meh for WR's when they should be able to claim WRU. -
I love how you are telling someone else to do your research for you again, especially after it's already been established that they got two guys who weren't recruited at WR drafted.StrongArmCobra said:

I don't care enough to do research. But if he's gonna do research it needs to be accurate. His numbers are way off and his post was misleading. It's a stupid argument. Ohio State is not a great WR school. They are loaded with elite WR talent at all times and only put guys in the draft here and there. It's not impressive. They should be WRU with all that talent and they're not.dnc said:
