"UCLA is doing really well with four-star tight end Moliki Matavao.
Now, I'm not quite ready to put in a Crystal Ball pick for the Bruins, but a source close to the recruitment tells me that UCLA is probably in the top two, if not leading, for the Top247 prospect from Henderson (NV) Liberty.
Washington has the only vote in the Crystal Ball -- I put that in a while ago but don't feel it's reflective of where things stand at the moment -- and UGA has received most of the buzz lately. Oregon drew the most recent visit and has also been making a strong push, but I'm told that UCLA is appealing option for Matavao given the proximity to Las Vegas + academics + highest TE drafted among top group + mother's preference.
I know, I know. A recruit's mother actually pulling for UCLA? 2020 has been the weirdest year.
We'll see how things shake out over the next month but just wanted to pass along what I've heard in the last few days since Matavao announced his top six. Bruins doing well in this one and, according to sources, among the top two right now.
I expect Matavao to have made his decision by the end of May."

Sounds like its gonna be business as usual for TE recruiting this year. My guess is they strike out on everyone and take Caiden Jumper as a TE afterall
I’m too lazy to reread this thread. Someone remind me why we thought he was going to be a dawg before?
We were the early favorite. As strange as it sounds, this might have been a case where Paopao could have been a recruiting asset. I'm sure he would have found a way to screw it up though.

what a fucking shit show.
don't feed me that he's new this year BS
oregon and usc seemed to hire new coaches every year and get who they want. USC especially this year.
I'm betting he picks Oregon but says he's still taking all his official visits.
