Surprised to see Redman not get picked up at another big time school.
Think he wants a guarantee to start and party. Even if he isn't that good, he has the measurables, recruit hype, and little game tape sitting behind Otton to remain a mystery to some school willing to take a flyer.
Maryland has a couple of highly rated LBs (at least coming out of HS) who are looking to transfer.
I'm not sure if the new staff considers depth / talent at OLB (and rush end) or inside LB to be more pressing.
The 2023 class should be a monster one and I hope it is a full 25.
From what I’ve seen/heard (take with a grain of salt) they are looking to add depth to ILB but not with scholarships, using those for the OLB guys. I’m assuming they sign 2-3 more linebacker types, we need bodies there and can get them cheap.
Showed a lot of potential early in his career and honestly regressed. A good coach likely can get a good year out him. His wr’s were really bad too but he definitely sucked last year.
I thought I read something that said prime only has 20 scholarship players on the roster.
Maybe 20 from last year's team. Probably fewer by the time this post goes through. But there are more transfers than that, plus incoming frosh of course. So far only 3 players have transferred to another P5 program and one of those was a kicker. Roddick is the only legit player I'd like to have back, plus maybe Sami just for a warm body on the interior DL. Supposedly we have some transfer commits who are set to announce soon but many fans are freaking out about the number of bodies needed to be replaced. The thing is, most of the players being replaced aren't even G5 starter quality so even making lateral replacements shouldn't be too tough. DT is the biggest area of concern as you need depth and there aren't a ton of quality players available, unlike the skill positions.
Edit: just checked 247 and we currently have 31 incoming transfers plus 17 incoming freshmen, probably about half of whom are currently on campus.

I don't disagree that it probably isn't the end of the world

Career records will be set in cement from here on out.
