Nice pivot, although I’m not sure we have the bandwidth to pull through that type of disruptive strategy.RaceBannon said:
Maybe we could drill down on this some more and circle back to see if we can find a consensus and do some team building while we are at itDoog_de_Jour said:
Precisely. Anyone with a degree in marketing or business should understand this. Again, if Ms. Doyle wants to quook it up in her personal time, good for her - she’s a UO alum after all. I also have no issues with her listing her Auburn or Oregon gigs...Jen Cohen worked at other schools before coming to UW (PLU and Texas Tech), but you don’t see her with #GoRedRaiders on her Twitter. (Not the fairest of comparisons I realize, but I think my point is valid.)MammaJamma said:
She used it to comment on the Alaska Airlines seats- a UW related post.ntxduck said:Looks to me like she lists her previous employers on her account (Oregon, Auburn, Nike). Also looks like it's her personal, not her work, twitter.
If she wants to have all that stuff on her personal account, fine, take the job title off. Or say Oregon [class year] or Auburn [class year]. Using hashtags like that is bad optics that conflict with her current employment. It also shows she has zero clue about how UW fans would react- and she is in charge of FAN ENGAGEMENT AT UW
Want a personal Twitter, fine. Just make sure to separate the two. If you work in sports your employer is who you are a fan of.
I don’t want this woman fired, but I think it’s a “learning opportunity” (to use corporate jargon), and it’s little details like this that while not maybe big in some people’s eyes, matter to passionate fans, who are at the end of the day who the athletic department should pay attention to. -
Glad I’m not the only one that wants to kill them selves due to the BS corporate jobs they have.

I am and always have worked for smaller family bidnesses run by the Patriarch but our biggest client is a multi national serving another multi national so I get caught in collateral damage all the time with their bullshit.dirtysouwfdawg said:Glad I’m not the only one that wants to kill them selves due to the BS corporate jobs they have.

Director of Marketing @ Auburn Athletics Department
Assistant Director of Marketing and Gameday Experience @ University of Oregon
Event Coordinator @ Octagon
Sales Associate @ Nike
She graduated with a BA in Sports Business from Oregon.
You can find some examples of her work at http://www.rachaelmariedoyle.com.
She is also on the Dubs committee. She was one of the people who helped find a home for Dubs II before it officially became the Huskies mascot.
Rachael also likes candy and exercising. Hth.
Be nice.
No one is saying she’s unqualified for her job. I’m sure she’s done some good things for the department...BUT YOU DON’T HAVE (and yes I’m busting out the @Dennis_DeYoung all caps of anger here) ANYTHING PROMOTING YOUR COMPETITION IN SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS! She works for UW! She relinquished her right in to give Oregon FREE PUB! in any of her professional Twitter accounts.
I bet Chevy wouldn’t want their CEO throwing #BuiltFordTough on their Twitter feed. -

ok I’ll be a Doog.
Marketing is one of the last places you want apathy. You want diehard annoying doogs in the marketing department always in a rush to tweet everyone how great UW is.
If she went to Oregon fine, if she still feels the need to let everyone know she identifies as a quook she can get fuckt and go work for Starbucks. I highly doubt she does her job well if she loves Oregon.
What’s worse is we probably hired her because we’re trying to emulate Oregon’s marketing.
When did it become classy to fucking hate yourself? -
ATTENTION JEN COHEN: IF YOU CAN LOOK PAST THE SOPHOMORIC HUMOR, WE WILL NOT STEER YOU WRONG!
-
The way the Washington Huskies should be marketed is inherently different than the way the Oregon Ducks should be marketed.
A product marketer with an Oregon sports business background is never going be able to have the context of how Washington should be marketed. Everything she’s been taught on what’s right in sports marketing is in conflict with what is right for Washington. -
If men, in today's world, are expected to ignore a great ass or big set of knockers while pretending to listen to what a woman has to say Jen should be expected to see the real logic through the fog of mens natural depravity. It's only fair.DerekJohnson said:ATTENTION JEN COHEN: IF YOU CAN LOOK PAST THE SOPHOMORIC HUMOR, WE WILL NOT STEER YOU WRONG!

we're just a few weeks away from the incredibly exciting Rose Bowl and fan engagement would seem to be a major priority!
but....our fan engagement person's twitter account is still private and still ScoDuckin' and War Imagery Eagles...me wonders if she's been removed from her duties and has abandoned her account. -
Doubtful. Are the gameday jerseys going to be purple, white, black, or tan? I want to match the players on the field.Meek said:we're just a few weeks away from the incredibly exciting Rose Bowl and fan engagement would seem to be a major priority!

I get y’all hate Oregon and all. But they don’t really care as much about you as you do about them. 13-2 will do that.
I’m pretty sure this is a personal account, so she can put whatever non offensive hashtag that she wishes on her cover.
It never fails to amaze with the hive mentality here. Whatever deranged shit that DDY or Race poasts, you lick it up until the floor shines.
