Hampton and Fabiculanan were offered early so Lake wanted both of them badly. This kid is being offered late in the process because we missed on other targets. He's a kid from Southern Cal who doesn't even have an offer from Fresno State or San Diego. He sucks

We haven't missed on any targets lately though, we've been recruiting one corner for 6 months and he's still not committed. There are plenty of higher rated guys we could get if we wanted to, we aren't being forced to offer the guy with no offers.
I think it's safe to assume this probably means we're not getting McDuffie, but obviously there's a large block of higher rated unoffered guys between McDuffie and Williams.

Offering our 8th DB of the class or whatever it is is hardly an indication we're struggling to fill the class, especially when some of those offers (Chase) obviously weren't committable.

I don't think it means McDuffie is completely off the table, at this point I can't ever rule out Jimmy pulling something out of his ass. It's possible we're offering Williams now to get him scheduled on an official visit, and maybe help him get other offers.

I don't really like Williams, but I just have a hard time worrying about a Jimmy Lake DB class, especially when there's still this much time. Last year our class looked like a disaster until like December 10th.

The bottom line is McDuffie has been UW's only CB recruit this entire fucking cycle. Others may have been offered but after further analysis, McDuffie was the only OKG. This kid isn't some plan D option after whiffing on a bunch of other guys. The coaches like him enough to have him as their #2 CB on the board. That's high praise. Byron Murphy was the #2 CB on the board in his recruiting class below David Long. But because he had 4-stars next to his name ad a bunch of big-time offers, everybody immediately loved him when he committed.

Sydney Jones was a 3-star and only had one Pac-12 offer in Utah late in his recruiting cycle. At the time, Utah was the team who had out-smarted everybody else with that offer. Should UW have left Jones alone because he didn't have enough offers or stars? It's the same situation here. If they think they found a diamond in the rough then they should go after him and they have the resume to back it up.

Do we want an entire recruiting class of diamond in the rough type recruits? Fuck no. But one or two is fine with me especially when they are recruited as top priorities (#2 CB on the board) instead of late Jordan Chin type offers after whiffing on everybody else.

I would just rather see these types of offers go out after the early signing period, and maybe after some hometown love with LPJ, Elder and McMillan, but what do I know

#2 on the bored is serious dooging. Kam Fab, Criswell, Steele and McDuffie at the very least were ahead of him and maybe Wright. Still, that’s very good company and plenty of other talented kids we haven’t offered.

It’s on at 830 tonight and will be way more accessible than the Pac12 Network

KamFab is primarily a safety recruit for UW. Criddell, Steele, and Wright were decided as not being OKG's for one reason or another and taken off the board a long time ago. McDuffie has been the only CB on the board. This kid getting an offer makes him #2 on the board. Telling the truth of the matter is not "dooging".

The coaches like him as a swiss army knife DB. He may play corner but he's never been recruiting exclusively as a corner. Was originally recruited to play safety.

He seems to have pretty fluid hips, would want to give him a chance at corner before moving him to Safety

    Who gives a fuck? I don't. That's irrelevant.

Tonight against Mater Dei he and the Drake DE have been the only bright spots for centennial. He broke up a Bru Mcoy TD reception in the endzone. He closes on the ball very quickly and very physical. since the UW offer he has been playing with more mojo!

At the start of the game the announcers said he was a Washington commit and then corrected himself and said he has received an offer from Washington and that that is his only offer which to them is surprising since he is one of the key players to watch tonight and one of the best DBs in Southern California.

He is covering Bru Mcoy and he is shutting him down.

I jinxed him. Mcoy burned him for a TD pass. Hopefully some future dwag on dwag crime.

McCoy burned him a couple of times for TDs when on an island
