"The barbecue was great," Dudley noted. "All of the top recruits were there. I got to talk to the receiving coach and interact with all the coaches. They really made my family and I feel comfortable. We sat with Ayden Hector and his family. His dad and my dad were able to talk and he had great things to say about Washington."
It has a Kyler Gordon type feel to it. Probably a battle that'll last right up until signing day
I definitely feel it's even quieter than Gordon's but I agree nonetheless. I'm more confident at this time of the year than I was with Gordon I think. It just seems like it is UW vs USC and I can't see a DB making that choice.
Angel on his right shoulder: "Go play school, get developed, go pro or have a good degree to fall back on." Devil on left shoulder: "Take the bag, and you're not here to play school."
As far as his communication with the Husky coaching staff, Hector has been in regular contact with Jimmy Lake and Will Harris with both coaches continuing to build on top of what is already a strong relationship.
"I was there for their camp and then we did the barbecue as well," Hector said. "It was a great time getting to meet with the coaches and spend time around the other recruits that were there. We all had a great time."
As a junior last season for Eastside Catholic, Hector wound up with 45 tackles, three tackles-for-loss, two sacks and three interceptions to go along with eight pass breakups.
"It's hard to believe it's almost over," Hector said when asked about his senior seasons getting ready to get started. "We've all worked so hard together and fought together so we're focused on making this our best season."
Hector said he's planning to make a his commitment during the season.
