You seem to be enamored by china’s government controlled mercantilist economic system. They’ve accumulated massive amounts of foreign currency and US debt through a corrupt economic model that keeps its people poor and takes advantage of US economic weakness (reliance on debt to fund our current consumption). Trump’s populist and protectionist economic policies feed the beast and makes the situation worse. A strong US would lead on trade and finance.
