I’m impressed this kid was able to get those 20 lbs back in the matter of 6 days. Pretty admirable if you ask me
Our local media is the fucking worst nationally.
What I don’t quite understand is if it’s incompetence or apathy...
If Jude assumes positive intent with everybody he interacts with, totally fine. However: •You’re naive if you believe everything people tell you all the time. Critical thinking should be table stakes for anybody in that position. So maybe find a new gig • That assumption of positive intent was invalidated within 48 hours. And in hindsight, none of it added up from the very beginning.
The lazy investigation and reporting that first day isn’t the issue for me personally. It’s the lack of follow-up and the defense of that initial reporting that makes me more frustrated. Have a little personal pride Adam! You were used as a pawn in a game of chess that was easier to see through than a game of tic tac toe with a 4 year old. But alas - abundance.
Our only hope is Ruth’s craziness compelling her to do Ruth things.

Nah jude has made it clear does not believe a word in his reports. He just doesn't care enough to get the truth and writes whatever he is told.

Football is the last thing we’re thinking about.
So, safe to say Ale won’t be playing football this fall?
Never say never.
You don’t expect him to wake up tomorrow and say, “I’m better. I’m ready to play”?
I don’t think so. Anything is possible.
Ale listed Coach Pete, the upward trend at Washington and that family feeling as reasons he chose Washington. The family is all UW. The University and coach Pete are outwardly supportive. Why not just take the time and return when he’s ready?
He needs to be with his family right now.
I’m confused. “Right now” but he’s asked for his release. Does he want to play for Washington? You said a minute ago he and the family are 100% UW.
He needs to be close to home.
So if he doesn’t go to Washington, if I’m hearing you correctly he’d stay close to Home like Nevada, maybe?
He’s not thinking about that right now.
Ale was linked with Alabama and USC. Ale and his parents liked both schools. In fact dad wanted him to go to Alabama. Mom wanted him at SC. Can you see him having second thoughts or changing his mind and maybe giving those schools another look?
Again, the family’s concern now is his physical and mental health.
Has the family had any recent contact with either school, Bama or SC?
No.
That’s a violation isn’t it? Contact with a player about switching school who has signed an NLI? I’m not sure
Hmm not sure. Might have heard something about it.
So if Washington releases Ale from his NLI, it’s safe to say he’s not going to suddenly say “I’m better,” and for example hop the next flight to Tuscaloosa. I have to ask.
I don’t think so.
So when I write this article, I can say, Ale needs time away but there’s nothing nefarious. The family hasn’t been in any contact with any other schools about switching? My readers are going to wonder specifically about Alabama and USC. But I can say Ale and his family have had no contact with either school and Ale will not end up in Los Angeles or Tuscaloosa? Correct ?

just to be clear, there is no way Nick Saban would get a phone call from a kid he hasn't talked to in 8 months and then within 3 days have him enrolled and on the field in pads. no way that happens.
