Should open socialists be banned from holding high office?

Every country they've held power in has either failed spectacularly with a massive human cost, or is currently failing, like Venezuela. One could even put them on par with Nazis in the sheer destructive power of their failures in the 20th century. We have a generation of ignorant, stupid faggots on the horizon who would rather live under socialism/communism than freedom/capitalism. What should be done?

If you're going to let Nazis, communists and socialists hold office, there has to be a mechanism for removing them from power wholesale, simultaneously, or it's just not viable. I can't see Nazis or communists ever being supported by the majority in the country, but I can see it happening with socialists.
