I brought this up when there were 2 unknown visitors coming last weekend, but I legitimately think it could happen. Post on his instagram story about committing "very soon" , and a post directly to his feed with "almost that time" captioning a picture of him in UW garb.
No good meltdowns yet, as it's still just moments after it happened so I'll have to poast the good ones later, but here are some:
- (Pre Commitment This Morning) The fact that he didn’t commit this weekend is a good sign for ND. He clearly isn’t a 100% lock considering his 7 on 7 QB is a Washington commit and was on campus with him. I’m sure Washington was pressing him to commit and he chose not to.
- (45 Minutes Before Commitment) That last part is just wrong. Loy nailed the Asa Turner recruitment. WASH mods were saying he wasn't even listening to ND and was going to sign early with WASH. Loy sat back and said not so fast. That is a player committed to the other school where Loy has a better read than their mods. While he ended up signing with WASH Loy was the first one to report that the momentum swung back to WASH after his AA games. Loy always has a great read on the kids because he talks to them and hears what they say and how they say it. Sometimes they have a change of heart, and sometimes they have multiple - and Loy is usually the first guy to know. I am not saying JM is coming to ND or going to WASH because I am sure JM doesn't even know at this point. He could be favoring WASH out of that visit but that things can certainly change. PLEASE try to not always be so negative!
- I thought mom didnt have a preference.
- According to ND sources and two out west sources we had the lead according to this site.
- Sorry man but I had a bunch of posters telling me all kind of shit about McMillan and it was just flat wrong and everyone but this board apparently knew it.
- Disappointing and comical. At least we consistently finish 2nd.
- About that... haha, Wiltfong didn't even have ND as the runner-up. He suspects that McMillan ultimately chose Washington over Oklahoma.
- We get he committed to Washington. Not surprised, no need to rub it in that you were right.
- The coaching staff is doing a good job overall recruiting, but it seems sometimes they are too optimistic on where they stand with some recruits.
- Well, eff! Went from “getting” one of the best WR classes in the country to looking at B targets in a week.
- I am pissed this let's take late official strategy sucks and we are missing kids left and right, sorry to interrupt Kelly's summer time but get off your ass and bring these kids in.
- I never bought into ND landing McMillan. It happens every year. I'll believe it when a Fresno kid suites up for a game. I wouldn't even be 100% convinced on signing day.
- There is a good chance he never even plays with Huard at Washington if he goes there. He’s a 2021.
- Putting faith in any California skill position recruit is mind numbingly dumb, IMO. To me it doesn't really matter how good the Irish feel - these guys are notoriously flaky and are far more often misses than hits when it comes to development once enrolled.
- Why do we even waste time recruiting California? If a guy is really good and commits early like Buchner (or is a very good fit, great player, and has ties to ND, then okay) Our “hit rate” on getting commits there is terrible and our “hit rate” on the guys who do commit and actually become players is very low as well. If you add up every guy that ND actively recruits and spends a lot time recruiting out of Cali and then compare it to actual production on the field, there is a huge disparity that dwarfs any other state.
The Natives are restless and turning on Loy:
- So can I criticize loy and praise Washington for this one now that he just committed, just curious?
- Gotta admit, he's had some issues with his sources for elite prospects this cycle. No shade thrown but this was an uphill battle from the start.
- I wonder if there's much of a backstory on this one and whether we'll have to wait until post-NSD.
- Agreed, I never understood the CB from loy and the consistent ND feels good talk and west coast sources when everyone else contradicted that, literally everyone,
- Henning and mcmillan were just bad CBs the last 5 weeks, both should have been changed weeks if not months ago... just not an accurate portrayal of what was going on in their recruitments.
- I'm not negative I said McMillan and Henning weren't coming weeks ago, that isnt negative that is reality.

Notre Dame had A LOT of optimism based on recent conversations with McMillan. Very curious what changed. Will find out. That’s a big loss. -Tom Loy
Things change all the time Tom.
Junior Adams is DIFFERENT DIFFERENT
DDY in particular was pissed by that hire and didn't think Junior had the energy or the personality to recruit
Dialed in
Tracy loves him some Junior Adams

McMillan’s family is also very excited, “My mom got teary-eyed”, he said, and he added that his little sister is already hooked and is a Husky fan.
