Gun in peril or Culture in peril?

Sadly, there is some truth to this point.Sledog said:For the liberals. Your own logic should apply to guns as well.

But, abortion is regulated, and for good reason. You don't want just anyone up in there.
Should gun ownership be regulated? Should it be a little harder, and take a little longer, to buy one? Regardless of the black market.
With literally millions of words typed on this forum on this issue, the questions really comes down the that one. Only stupid people advocate for a ban on all weapons and door to door. It's so stupid that I see it as more of a Red Herring for the gun freaks.
The question is better regulation or no? -
I didn't mention Obamacreepycoug said:
This is correct.RaceBannon said:obviously the answer is all of the above. So in a free society do those of us who enjoy violent media, drugs, porn, and guns and can do so without committing mass murder want to give them all up for safety?
I don't think so. I have seen a lot of people who make their living from entertainment giving a spirited defense of the First Amendment and I don't blame them any more than those who defend the Second Amendment.
So since we aren't going to solve the problem from that angle put some fucking guards in the school like we do everywhere else
Retards here who spent the week claiming armed guards won't work are fucking retards. Why would we listen to them?
One other question: I thought the Gun-Free school zones shit started in 1990. What did Obama do?
The first gun free zone I recall was at a Group Health clinic where I was pimping some flooring. I saw the sign and laughed to myself not out loud.
And that was quite awhile back. Probably was the 90's -
Yeah, I only flew by another poast an misread it. Nevermind.RaceBannon said:

Back to the poont: yes, armed guards. yes, demand better performance. yes, study the issue. alienation? SSRIs? Video Games. Whatever. Put the Harvard people on it. Those fuckers figure out everything it seems. -

From over prescription of psychotropic medication; to the violence propagated on TV, movies and video games; to social media's inherent mouth piece for narcissism; to society's vanquishing of spiritual, faith based principles (east, west or in between).
If we really aim to keep our children safe, we must focus on the deep-rooted cause of an assailants anguish, not his tool of destruction. And to do that, we must focus inwardly on what we have allowed ourselves to become. Unfortunately self-reflection in our society is as far from en vogue as is possible to imagine.

Fair enough. Nothing wrong with acknowledging spirituality in the abstract sense of it. The more organized and institutionalized rule-drive, the worse.pawz said:

I kind of chuckle when someone thanks the "Universe". Its like I don't want to say God but I want to thank some mysterious entity but I'm an atheist so I'll just sound stupid and say universe instead.creepycoug said:

I imagine that our atheist friends here find it as silly as I do.
I'm the kind of guy that insists that atheists be pure in their atheism. There is nothing to thank, no hidden hand, no force no nothing. -
First poont: what liberal actually wants to outlaw guns?Sledog said:For the liberals. Your own logic should apply to guns as well.

Second poont: conservatives actually want to outlaw abortion and think that'll stop abortions from happening. Just like banning drugs stopped people from using drugs.
