Bralen Trice was really impressed by his visit to Oregon over the weekend, and there was a lot of discussion from his side of the family about giving the Ducks a verbal commitment. Now, would Oregon take it? Right now, no. The Ducks are going to keep their options open for a defensive end or outside linebacker and so if Trice tried to commit they wouldn't have taken it at this time. There are bigger names on the board basically, and the Ducks know they are in a good spot with Trice. The key is that he's going to Washington this coming weekend for an official visit and then wants to decide on October 6th. If he follows through, it won't be to Oregon. If he waits, he'll be trying to see if Oregon will take him.
So by their reports, he wants to commit to Oregon on October 6th, but they wouldn’t take the commitment. They’ll try to get him to wait so he can be a fallback for them.
Who the fuck knows. All I know is we? don’t recruit bucks ever so I’d take him, even if it’s because the Ducks tell him they don’t have room.

Beggars can’t be choosers at Buck.
The Ducks have DJ Johnson who is redshirting and will start for three years at "Duck." They have the kid from Colorado for D-End and Ma'ae who is by far the best physical athlete west of the Rockies for that Duck/Buck spot.
The only three guys they would take a verbal from is Thibs, Drake Jackson, or the kid from Higley.

What's the point in using up an official visit on a guy you won't take?

Never said they wouldn't take him, they just won't take him right now.
The Ducks are sitting at 21 recruits with every position essentially covered except they want one more corner.
The other best available guys are Ika, Drake Jackson, the Higley kid, and Ford. Trice is in the next tier of recruits.

For once, Mosster is right. He's just quooking like normal, but he's accidentaly right this time. Partially. "The kid from colorado" fucking blows, but Ma'ae makes Trice look like a literal pile of shit. We need someone on staff who can recruit pass rushers. It's a huge weak spot.

No he doesn't. You're about as smart as a sea slug so I can't believe I'm wasting my time on you, but he is recruited as a rush end. He is really long, plays with outstanding leverage and is about 7% body fat today sitting at 235ish. He is white and from Colorado so he gets a low rating. Nobody wanted Jalen Jelks either and this kid is way more ready to go at this age than he was.

You realize he's ranked about 300 spots higher than Ma'ae, right?
Which is way too high, IMO. How many great ginger football players do you know of? The deck is stacked against this soulless fuck.

On the line there are quite a few. I don't remember their names because no one would remember the names of soulless players.
This kid is legit though. This was their #1 target at the rush end spot. His length, leverage, technique, build, and ferocity taking down whoever has the ball is elite. Ma'ae is very low rated and he should be. His technique is awful and his football IQ is extremely low, however his closing speed is probably the best in the country at the Duck/Buck position. He is a project which is exactly what they needed. DJ Johnson is the #2 defensive player on the roster today. Unfortunately you can only go west to south and play right away. The opposite of that means sitting out a year.
Of course everyone is still in on Thibs, but the #1 overall recruit isn't a strategy, that's just hope for everyone.

Oregon took a shit on our face with that one.
He's visiting UW this weekend. Shouldn't Loy have the fucking sense to at least see how the fucking visit goes? What an idiot.
LOOK I KNOW HE'S NOT COMING HERE BECAUSE OF KWAT - but still...
