Sorry - my point was not about Skinny not transferring, it was this... if he'd lost last week, he'd probably end up enrolling at UW for winter quarter. Hence: done deal.
Now, with them ending too late for him to transfer in quickly, that's basically 2 months for him to get wooed by every BSD in college football that needs a QB.
The only saving grace there is quarters vs semesters.. he could still do spring ball at UW but semester schools it might not happen (tho USC still got Marlon enrolled 3 weeks late there so schools that care about football find a way).
I don’t understand why the staff does not offer Merlin, he a step down from Solomon but still great prospect
Not exactly a staff full of homeyz
Fast Strategy Hispanics don't exist at UW.
Great first poast.
I think Robertson just looks hispanic, but is actually Poly. Ultimately, it's basically the same thing, so yeah.
Second, I'm still in assessment mode about who and what we are doing for this cycle.
I think our priorities are...
1. DJ - we are up against Oregon. Oregon is the Miami of the West Coast. 2. Martin - He's visiting Oregon before he 'visits' us. If we can get him on the visit that will be the key. 3. Irvin - I don't think USC has room and I think we can beat ND for him. Harris should help. 4. Tuliaupupu - No fucking shot in the world. 5. Tuli and everyone else - no fucking shot in the world.
I think Skinny is coming, but the fact that UGA won may throw it back into play. I don't really know... I just think when you finish second for a recruit, a lot of times you're friend-zoned for life.
So to bring things back around. If we landed
DJ Martin Irvin
do we fuck? What if additionally we get Eason and Cravens?

DJ, Martin and Irvin would make this class incredibly fuckworthy, even with no one else.
Mexicans don’t play football down here in So Cal. For the 14+ million plus that reside he you’d think a handful could play football. Nope, they pretty much suck at all sports. So Cal is comprised of privileged white athletes (OC schools & rich Valley, Thousand Oaks etc) who are only good bc they’re parents can afford to send them to camps/trainers etc. Hence the high bust rate. Then there’s west LA black kids (Inglewood/Culver, often mixed, middle class and UCLA types), South LA/LB fast strategy (USC all day, the guys that Petersen is scared of) and the poly’s down the 405 (Gardena, Hawaiian Gardens, Shitty LB) who usually don’t leave too far from home.
I really do feel that Will Harris can help to address this issue. It’s complex down here. With that said, there is a respect for UW. I think with a few slight adjustments to our pitch it could help convince some of these kids to check out Seattle. Like we’ve always said, we just need a handful of these guys. Once they’re in our program/ support systems they can flourish.

When I think of malnutrition I think of Sub Saharan Africa, not Los Angeles. Trust me, caloric intake isn’t the problem. Cheap, shit food is in abundance and that’s the issue in the Hispanic community from what I’ve seen having lived here for almost 8 years. At every school you’ll see the Fattie posted up selling shit to these kids. Poor dietary choices from a young young age. I suppose that is a form of malnutrition and it’s honestly really sad. So many overweight children; parents are clueless to the correlation between diet and health. It’s crazy. More often than not if you’re Hispanic in LA you’re overweight. The only exceptions being migrant laborers and some Central America populations. Mexican’s are incredibly unhealthy in this urban environment, especially once they become more assimilated.

Yup, cheap shit food and poor dietary choices = malnutrition. Anywhere with poverty and food deserts will result in it, whether it's Africa or LA.

If we get any one of Martin, Johnson or Irvin I will be shocked and ecstatic.
I'm surprised that you view our odds so low on Irvin or is it just expectation management on your part?
It seems like USC ain't going to take him and that he's somewhat cooled on ND. It seems like we are in the game for no other reason than simply subtraction.

Expectation management, PTSD, and/or bi-polar disorder. With Dennis...abundance is likely.

Too bad it will never happen.
