    Also, I note that Franken actually apologized in a not-totally-douchey way. There's no moral equivalence between this and shit like Moore's stocking teen girlz at the local mall or Kevin Spacey's apparent serial groperizing and attempting to use gayness as a shield.

    If more shit comes out on Franken, then that would be bad for him, particularly if it is more recent than 2006 and especially after he got into public service, since I tend to hold public servants to a higher standard than comedians and actors.

    I mostly agree. The photo is in poor taste but it doesn't even look like he's grabbing her. As for the kiss, most of us have kissed somebody or been kissed by somebody without it being mutual (I've been on both ends) (lol!). Kissing someone against their will isn't a crime as far as I know.

    Sensationalizing this kind of shit diminishes REAL sexual assault IMO.

    One more thing....your last sentence really nails it (lulz). Rape is fucking awful and rapists should be drug behind a truck. So all this bullshit about he touched my butt once and he made me feel uncomfy once....all it does is diminish true assaults.
