Kelee is fucking good, but I think our chances with him are less than 20%.
Lake isn't Lambo - Kwat is Lambo. Or - to be fair to Kwat, Kwat is Solich, prolly - but you get my point.
Lake wants to be a HC and he should. I just don't want him to be a HC at USC or Oregon.
The reality is, USC makes a lot of sense for him...
I'm just hoping they cock up the hire and get Jeff Fisher or Jack Del Rio.
Being a HC is mostly about being a CEO. I don't have close enough knowledge to evaluate whether Jimmy is a good CEO or not. He's a fucking great position coach (though pretty much everyone looks like a great position coach under Pete) and he's a really good recruiter.
I'm not afraid of Cristobal's recruiting machine, though. Teams that recruit amazing are annoying because they can randomly whip your ass when they have a 'good game' (see us vs. USC 2016), but generally guys who are 'great recruiters' end up like Sark and Kiff did at USC... "you brought in all this talent, why are you getting beat by the 7th place team in the conference?!?!"
See - I don't JUST care about recruiting.
We aren't getting Kelee unless Sav'ell commits early and dedicates his life to recruiting him.
what an interesting and quick way to kill my morning boner
The only way we get him is if Sav'ell makes it his mission and somehow we can convince his mom that UW is going to be good for her kid.
I really hope we see Byron and Taylor go 1-2 for DBs, it would definitely help.
They're not going 1-2. Byron has what, maybe a 40% shot of being the first? He's probably the favorite but you almost always have to take the field, it's not like he's seen as some can't miss, top 5 DB type. I think Rapp makes it into the first round but I don't think it's likely he makes it all the way to the #2 DB.
If we need them going 1-2 to get Kelee, #HeGone.
Byron will be the first DB taken. Take screenshots if you want to. The only thing he's got against him is that the NFL sees him as a mostly zone corner, but he's the best DB in the class and it's not even close.
Greedy can't play the run. Baker is an average athlete. Deionte Thompson is hurt and played like shit vs. Clemson. Abram is overrated AF. Ya-Sin and JJ Williams are good but they're not going that high.
The only guy I could see maybe go over Byron is Nasir Adderley, but he's a small-school player and a safety so that's a long shot.
I follow the draft and I'm rarely a homer about these types things and I'd still be fucking shocked if Byron isn't the first DB taken.

Kris Boyd Texas, 91st ranked prospect out of high school, drafted 7th round. Jordan Miller UW, ranked 970 out of high school, drafted 5th round.
If Kelee is really interested in maximizing development, it's a no brainer.
He's all on Georgia now too though, and he made sure to recognize that Deandre Baker went in the 1st round (although he we was definitely overdrafted).

He developed well. 657 out of high school to 1st round pick. Kudos to Georgia staff.

well, if he doesn't understand that his best chance for biggest bag in the future is with no-ballz Jimmy Lake and UW then he might as well get the biggest bag now!

Not acceptable. Every recruit should see this once in a life time, no frills, no fun opportunity that awaits them!
To think that a teenager would fall for the glamour and glitz is naive.
Furthermore, every dad(s) of the kids we offer is of the utmost maturity and not in a position where they would need a sleazy dirty bag man.

In marketing, the best way to ensure success is to HAVE the best PRODUCT and make sure people UNDERSTAND it is the best product.
What a novel concept.
I love the idea that Apple is supposed to go around saying 'hey pal, you will spend X amount of hours of your life looking at your phone, if you don't DO THE RESEARCH and KNOW what is the best, then you are dumb and we don't want you as a customer'.

C’Mon man, do better.
