It's a safe bet that the US and South Korea would easily prevail in an Korean War Part Deaux, provided the Chi-Coms don't cross the Yalu again. But seems highly unlikely that the artillery in caves and bunkers pointed at Seoul is a Potemkin Village. Any of you guys thinking that our air power can knock that all out an protect Seoul are simply nuts. This isn't complicated guys: If they can figure out the bomb and ballistic missiles, they can figure how to get their artillery to survive the 1st several waves of use bombing and cruise missiles. So, at least, be intellectually honest and state that you are OK with Seoul getting leveled as an acceptable cost to prevent the nuclear threat to the US homeland.

We should just continue to let N-Kim refine and build a nuclear arsenal until it's fair. This way, nobody will ever get killed.

People forget the last time we let an Asian, lunatic Dictator get the bomb and keep it, and we didn't do a god damned thing about it.

Yes, So we should do that again.
We didn't have a viable preemptive military solution then, nor do we here. We had to suck it up and accept the risk of China as a nuclear weapons state, and that may be the case again here. What's your tuff, non-Obama-eqsue solution to get us out of this fix?
Absolute BS. We can turn that entire country into a smoking cinderblock in minutes. China and Russia will just stand by and watch it go down. Obama was a pussy who didnt stand up to the bully and now the bully has a gun. Do you continue to let him wave it around and maybe shoot someone? Do you rely on his goodness and hope he doesnt do anything like sell nukes to Iran? No, you disarm his fucking ass, and shove the gun so far up his discipline hole that he shits bullets.
Millions of South Koreans die in this scenario.
You think the US isn't good enough to protect S. Korea?
I think if the US Obama/Clinton could pull it off, we They would have already done it.
Trump/Mattis are not Obama or Clinton. Last time I checked, neither used MOABs

    HTH
We've had the MOAB since 2003.

It certainly has the capability to wreck North Korea's shit, but can it do the job in one shot?

My point is they have very limited resources. They could be the mouse that roared. They could be all in on these show missile launches.

    Or not.

They could win the south in 2018.

Limited resources or not, building and testing a bomb that is 7 x Hiroshima power is evidence of some level of capability. If you can do that, it's not likely that the capability to wipe out the capital of S Korea is a myth. Furthermore - and you as student of history, Race, know this well - how many times have our military / politicians underestimated the military capabilities of our advisories?

So let's drop 100 of them. That'd be a great start.
