We gotta show him we will, don’t make someone else’s pedestal taller by digging your own hole right in front of it.
next year we are set up pretty well to make run, that should help seal the deal
    I don't see how.

DL is the worst it's been since Pete had been here. LB is very concerning.
DB is all new. Good but very very young.

OL should be marginally better. Trey back but lose McGary.
QB is new. I know... he's not JB so should be better.
RB ...sigh. Salvon is not an every down back. No bellwether back
WR has to be better, right? Young kids is all you have.
    TE is a stud.

Can special teams be any worse?

Need way too many young guys to step up to think this team wins any more than 8-9 games. OOC schedule should be 3-0. Most big games at home sans Stanford.

RB will be by committee. Chances are someone will step up, perhaps Davis.

Defense will be young but there will be more talent in the unit than we've ever had.

I'm concerned about safety and LB if beavers and Wellington aren't healthy.

This is not a 4 loss team with that schedule. GTFOH
Fuck. Beavers is never healthy. Wellington better get bigger.

RB looks shitty. Salvon only works as a compliment. Pleasant and McGrew are not great. Davis? Christ.

    That's some serious fucking dooging.

He gets more credit than he should on this board. He is a playmaker yes but the guy does not take the yards that are there and at times runs like he doesn't want to get hit. He's got a ways to go. Hope he figures it out.

This. I feel like I'm watching a different team than others.

Valid criticism. He needs to clean that up. But the talent is clearly there

It's college football. With a good offensive line someone steps up at RB.
Everyone was freaking out about rb the year Sankey stepped up. Same thing with gaskin.
Players get better. See: Coleman, Lavon.
Gaskin averaged under 5 ypc this year and wasn't healthy for a third of the year. The overall production is not likely to drop that much.

Please find 4 losses in this dosghit conference. This is a 10-3 team floor with the potential to be better if Eason is what he was billed as out of HS
4 is tough but no one thought this team would lose to Cal.

@Stan and SC could easily be losses. Oregon returns everyone as does WSU. Those are possibilities.

We’ve had the best D in the PAC-12 four years in a row. That includes the year after Shaq, Shelton, and Peters were drafted in the first round. There may be some growing pains at the beginning of the year, but we should be fine.

The offense should be better at every position outside of RB. Even if we regress slightly defensively, the offense should more than make up for it.

I assume special teams will be better, but that is mainly because I don't see how Petersen could allow it to get any worse without making some changes.

I could see 2019 finishing really strong. There is good talent but damn there's just too much in question. Young guys aren't always better.

I am expecting a new special teams coach regardless of if gregory is fired

I agree with this to some extent. By and large we? are replacing a lot of proven, lower ceiling talent (e.g., BBK) with a bunch of unproven, higher ceiling talent (e.g., Heimuli/Sirmon). I expect to see a lot more splash plays and a lot more boneheaded plays on D. Our ground game inside the tackles scares me, and unfortunately I think we? end up passing a lot more. I think next year's record is close to this years. Maybe 2 losses in the PAC and 11-2 heading into our 4th straight NY6 bowel?
I think we use the RPO game a lot more next year. browning sucked at it cause he couldn't make quick decisions nor had the zip to throw an effective slant. Eason will have the ability to pull it and zip it to jones or hunter over the middle.

How will we replace Feeney and Littleton?

We haven’t. But overall the defense is better.
