I'm fine with dropping a huge bomb in a desolate sandbox shit country but it's a bit hypocritical of us. We threw a shit fit about Assad gassing some people and we turn around and drop the largest non-nuclear bomb that we have in our arsenal? Ok maybe we were trying to take out some kind of elaborate ISIS tunnel system but couldn't we have handled it like Bill Murray handled the gopher from caddy shack - just pipe in a bunch of water and flood em out.

Any time you can get your military strategy from an overrated 80s movie you have to do it.

Funniest shit I've read since getting sprung from rehab.

Re: our hypocrisy, I've always argued we should get a pass and/or the benefit of the doubt from other nations simply based on the amount of restraint shown. What other nation in the history of civilization ever amassed as much destructive capability as the US and used it so sparingly. What would our the lands of our adversaries look like if we went back to 1942- 45 'Merica and specifically targeted non combatants?

Israel.
Sure they show a ridiculous amount of restraint, but their ultimate ability to blow shit up ain't on par with ours. And we subsidize them to boot so they get knocked a few style points for that.

OTOH, everybody who wants us dead is on the other side of the world, not next door. Israel gains poonts back for restraint while dealing with shit all day erryday.

That's a valid point. The existential threats in the immediate neighborhood are significant, although their position vis-a-via Egypt, Syria, and Iraq is much better than say 1967 or 73. Those countries no longer are a credible threat to drive the jews into the sea like they once were. History, however, will be the judge of how nukes and Iran plays out with Israel.

I'm starting to get suspicious.
Don't operatives usually infiltrate using repairman/cable guy type disguises?
