Does it really matter what Tuesday? When you have guys like this on the UO staff, you can tell them any Tuesday you want!

Roof had a little rant about how Addison has said he has a bond with the coaches at Oregon, which she found strange since he never visited, didn’t talk to the current staff, and never spoke about Oregon during his recruitment.
She says it’s “stinky” that they suddenly built a relationship after he signed with UCLA.
She then went on to do some major WDWHA by saying if he couldn’t get into UCLA he definitely couldn’t get into UW. Which is funny because by all accounts he has been cleared by every school except UCLA.

Ruth's ability to get chinformation from recruits far exceeds her ability to relate that chinformation to her customers without 37 layers of bias.DoogCourics said:Roof had a little rant about how Addison has said he has a bond with the coaches at Oregon, which she found strange since he never visited, didn’t talk to the current staff, and never spoke about Oregon during his recruitment.

To be fair, anyone with half a brain can see that him announcing that he was recruitable again and then Oregon ends up being the rumored leader on the same day was fishy. He wasn't even interested enough in them to visit the first time around and they jump to his leaders when anyone besides UCLA talking to him would be a violation? Not hard to put two and two together.Meek said:

The part about not being able to get into UW is bs though. For a recruit to qualify for UW out of high school they just have to meet the minimum NCAA requirements. Stanford chooses to have higher standards for qualifying and UCLA chooses to have slightly higher standards to qualify. Everyone else in the Pac-12 uses the minimum NCAA requirements. -

Oregon's staff have time to do that, because they don't do any actual football stuff. -
That's a doog narrative that won't ever die it seems. UW's minimum standards, which are all that scholarship or (I'm pretty sure) preferred walk-on players have to meet, are the NCAA minimums just like the rest of the league aside from the two schools you mentioned. It was pointed out in doog threads all the time on dm.com, but they'd just ignore it and continue on with the narrative.HuskyClaws said:

This is not true. Both UCLA and UW have higher standards. Our math and langauge requirements are higher than ncaa minimums.HuskyClaws said:

Sark had many athletes that had to appear before an admissions board who met the ncaa minimums. I do not recall if they rejected any in this manner. -
From his 247 Commit Report:
“Even though that was the one school I never visited, things just felt right for me there”

I mean, I was clear he was going to UO, but WTF kind of explanation is that. Teenagers are fucking baffling. -

Good get for Oregon. Can someone explain how a school he never considered/visited skyrocketed to #1 out of the blue? Particularly one of zero tradition or academic precedence? Is there an explanation beyond promised starting time or getting paid?

Playing DB for them ... interesting

Willie Lyles back?

Big fan of your handle. It sounds like something XBox Live would issue for a gamer tag after notifying you that the one you really wanted is already taken. Ah memories.HorrifyinglyAlluring said:Good get for Oregon. Can someone explain how a school he never considered/visited skyrocketed to #1 out of the blue? What a fucking idiot. If you're gonna go to some mediocre program with lesser academic prestige you better at least go to a school with a bunch of bad bitches walking around in short shorts year round.
Sidenote: Oregon is taking a million WR's and DB's. On top of adding Addison to their 2018 class they want to take FIVE WR's and FIVE DB's this class while taking one, maybe two offensive lineman. My fucking head would explode if this was the case with UW recruiting but quooks love it. I've been told Oregon is going to be the Alabama of the West. -
Wait what? I heard that the depth chart was scaring kids off because they'd never crack the rotation?Tequilla said:Playing DB for them ... interesting
All he ever told people was he wanted to play WR. The most important thing to him was playing time. And now he joins the deepest secondary in the country?
This kid is confident! -

Oregon's WR situation is shit. The #3 was playing safety this time last year. They took some nobody grad transfer to shore up depth and he's probably going to start. Of course they need WRs you bleeding rag.
They took 5 OL last year, have 15 on the roster, and don't lose a single one to eligibility this year, and they want to take 3 more this cycle. I bet 18 OL on roster would put Oregon in the high 90s percentile in CFB. -
Outside of Sewell the four other offensive lineman they took last class are trash you bleeding rag. In two cycles Oregon is getting maybe two quality lineman and clogging up their depth chart with shit. Whoever is the next head coach in a couple years is gonna be fucked with the O-line dreck he inherits.dtd said:StrongArmCobra said:What a fucking idiot. Hi Nathan. I know you'll read this. You are quickly losing your status as the Husky nation fan favorite recruit in this class. You're either a Dawg or you're not. Ain't no in-between. Best decide for yourself what you are soon before Coach Pete decides for you because you won't like his decision. Nut up son!StrongArmCobra said:

The goal posts never move. You wanna win you have to recruit elite talent in the trenches. A million WR's and DB's are useless if you ani't got it in the trenches. The Helfrich/Greatwood O-line recruits are better overall than the fat slop Mario's bringing in. Good luck with those guys and a bunch of nobodies on the D-line. I'm sure Ware-Hudson and Andrew Faoliu are the next Buckner and Armstead.dtd said:

We are taking 4 WR and will add a 5th if we get the right guy. It’s what we need. We are taking 3 OL and 5 DL. Again, it’s what we need.

He has close relationships with both Donte Williams, who was his recruiter at Nebraska and the only reason he visited that corn shithole, and Keith Heyward, who is a buddy of his 7on7 coach. The little bros in Corvallis and Jonathan Smith were fools for not hiring Heyward as their DC.HorrifyinglyAlluring said:Good get for Oregon.
