Here is what Peterman built from 2015 to produce three all PAC-12 lineman

First Team Offense Second Team Offense
QB Luke Falk, So., Washington State QB Kevin Hogan, Sr., Stanford
    QB Jared Goff, Jr., California
RB Royce Freeman, So., Oregon RB Devontae Booker, Sr., Utah
RB Christian McCaffrey, So., Stanford RB Paul Perkins, Jr., UCLA
WR Kenny Lawler, Jr., California WR Bralon Addison, Jr.. Oregon
WR Gabe Marks, Jr., Washington State WR Darren Carrington, So., Oregon
WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, So., USC WR Nelson Spruce, Sr., Colorado
TE Austin Hooper, Jr., Stanford TE Thomas Duarte, Jr., UCLA
OL Zach Banner, Jr., USC OL Jake Brendel, Sr., UCLA
OL Joe Dahl, Sr., Washington State OL J.J. Dielman, Jr., Utah
OL Joshua Garnett, Sr., Stanford OL Conor McDermott, Jr., UCLA
OL Tyler Johnstone, Sr, Oregon OL Christian Westerman, Sr., Arizona State
OL Kyle Murphy, Sr., Stanford OL Chad Wheeler, Jr., USC

Some of you need to chill the fuck out

Petersen said the expectations are higher now. Do we have an OL that can win the Pac-12? yes Do we have and OL that can compete nationally? no
Until that is fixed, we are not going to win anything beyond the Pac-12 championship.

Stanford is about to kick our ass in 2 years, because they will have a hulking OL. Fozzy and Little will be fucking our DL up.
I love a powerful Oline but 1 position group doesn't make a team in itself.
We don't even know if shaw is gonna be there in 2 years
Have you seen Stanford's 2017 class. Fucking loaded with all kinds of good shit, QB, TE, RB. The OL alone will make Conny Wedington look like a fucking god.

    Stanford will rise again
sure they will be good. so will UW.
I don't know how you can say they are going to "kick our ass" in 2 years based on what we know now
Based on their last years and this years classes.
Youre not going to last long on here spouting this bullshit.

The best player on our team was a 3 star we stole from Utah. The Pac 12 Defensive freshman of the year is a 3 star asian safety from Bellingham. A 6'1 270 lb freshman 2 star guard held up to every team we played except Alabama.

Stars don't mean a thing against this shit conference with Petersen as HC, except maybe vs USC. I still don't buy Helton and think he is Helfrich and Darnold his Mariota.

They probably do against Alabama and Clemson. But we were not completely outmatched against the best dynasty in CFB history while playing in their backyard.

It's a cliche saying that games are determined by 5 plays, but that game really was. It would be interesting to see that game played in the Rose Bowl with 60% UW fans.

    TL,DR we're back. Fuck off.
Stanfords OL is loaded. A good OL can hide a lot of deficiencies for a team and a QB. Have you seen Davis Mills tape? kid is not joke. All I know is that Stanford is loading up on offense which can present a problem down the road. Their defense is going to be shit, but their offense will be no joke.

Regarding the bama game. We could have played them at husky stadium for 12 quarters and they would not have given up more than 14 points. Our OL got owned in major way. That was a great front 7 from bama. Our defense definitely can play with anyone in the country, but our offense only looks good because we play a lot of shitty defenses.
Yes, an OL that started 3 underclassmen struggled at times against one of the best front 7s in the history of college football. The Ross and Browning turnovers broke their nerve and they choked in the 2nd half.

Stanford d is solid but nothing close to that.

Let's hope they just fix what's obviously not working on the offense. A little better pass protection, a little more pocket awareness, getting rid of the ball a little quicker, a little more confidence from the QB, and a little more running on first down, not passing. If they can fix those things, the O will improve from where it is right now, even with Ross gone, as long as they torch Smiff on the W.

This is true to an extent, but Alabama was simply a better team. They probably beat us 8 or 9 times out of 10. We did miss some opportunities.
Id say 81% of the time Bama would win is a remarkably accurate meme

12 WRs isn't that many, right? Just 4 deep at all 3 starting positions, yeah? They probably get tired a lot.

13 OLs is plenty, right? Just 2.6 deep at all 5 starting positions seems good, yeah? Not like we need to redshirt people and they hardly ever get injured!!

The fuck are we doing at OL?

The numbers workout fine as long as we get 5 next class with 1 or 2 being JUCO.
    Are you fucking retarded?
Relax go look at the roster breakdown for other teams 14-16 OL is the norm.
We are going to have fucking 14 next year and half of them have already been passed by younger players.
If we were an SEC team we would make those older players transfer and we would be taking 4 guys in this class instead of just 2 but thats not and never will be how Pete operates. Like I said 4 or 5 next year(2 being JUCOs) and we're in a GREAT place.
We cant sign three OL in a single year that we actually want how are we gonna get 5?

And JUCO? Holy hell Miguel, who was the last JUCO contributor at UW at any position? How many JUCO OL recruits in the entire country could even be options in any given year?
Every single year there are a handful of JUCO OL starting the Pac12, Alabama uses JUCO OL, Oklahoma does as well. The last 2 years there have been JUCO OL on the all conference 1st team(Bolles from Utah and Dahl from WSU)

Who was the last JUCO contributor at UW at any position? Corey Dillon?

As @Houhusky said - UW doesn't admit many JC transfer/players. Year to year UW probably has the fewest in the league.

I was surprised that Pete went after Rodriquez.

It's hard to be more wrong than you are here ...

    1) Stars from the recruiting services only mean so much ... it's not about stars as it is in finding elite players. For instance, in this year's class, Ty Jones is clearly an elite player. TSIO Podcast recruiting guru's called this out MONTHS AGO ... now the guys that actually get paid to give out stars are now noticing this because he's doing it in practices for the Army AA game ... point being ... it's about looking for elite players whether they are elite in HS but more importantly can be elite in college ... stars for what they were in HS don't mean shit. Oh, and also the TSIO Podcast called out Rapp as being criminally underrated going back to last year's recruiting day podcast ... so FUCK OFF on this point about 3 star recruits ...

    2) If stars don't mean shit except when we play against USC ... that means that you're ok being up on the sisters of the poor and then getting our shit pushed in by USC (or other national elites) ... you do realize that if you want to play with the nation's elites you have to walk, talk, and act like a national elite yourself?

    3) There was no question who the best team on the field was in Atlanta ... yes, there were 5-6 plays that if they all went our way we may be prepping for Tampa and the National Title ... but that speaks to how perfect of a game we needed to play to be in that discussion ... hard to do ... very hard to do.

    DOOG talking points ...

IF your goal is to win a national championship, you find a way to make sure that you're building your team in a way to compete against elite units from other teams ...

And as for underclassmen, that's called college football today. You don't get the luxury of having your elite players like Budda, Sidney, Ross, Qualls, etc. stay around for 4-5 years ... if they are that elite they are gone in 3 to 4 years leaving eligibility on the table.

Are you saying the TSIO pod is dialed in while not being paid to be dialed in? Sounds like you have an issue with the guys that are paid to give out gold stars.

The Rapp highlights from high school could be likened to a harp in heaven. Beautiful.
Not sure it took much brain activity to figure out how special he was going to be. Pete was even more impressed during spring ball.

That d lineman from Oregon could be the Rapp of this class. His feet are incredible. Him and Vea will be 300+ pound ballerinas on the field that smash.

No ... what I'm saying is that the KJV's, Fetters, and Ektard's of the world wouldn't know what good athletes look like if their dicks in the locker room hit them in the face ...

People look at HS sports and look at things like what a kid's stats are, the level of competition (if the numbers are huge but competition is poor) as a way to fit their opinions in with preconceived notions.

Specifically with Rapp, high end safety prospects typically don't come from Bellingham and Sehome HS ... so when they do it confuses the living shit out of people. While the tape looks good, the competition is so poor how do you evaluate? Sometimes people over think shit and sometimes they have huge biases ... that's just what it is.

Dennis and Pepsi have said it time after time, what you're looking for are guys that have rare physical characteristics that are able to do something(s) at elite levels. The rest is just noise and BS.
