We only lose Eldrenkamp and Brostek. If we sign 3 OL like it sounds like we'll do, we'll actually increase our number of scholarship OL. But next year the majority of our OL will be Juniors and Sophomores rather than Sophomores and Freshmen.
Get a fucking grip. We have 1 OL commit and when we lose Fozzy we will take Norgaard and that will be it.
So, the position it take longest to develop and where kids have the most injuries, we are thinnest in bodies per starting position.

FUCK OFF.
I stand (trigger warning for Dennis, not sure if he can actually stand up yet) with @Dennis_DeYoung on this.
You should never ever ever take less than OL per year.

I am okay with 13 DB's because they are 90 percent bad asses.
I'd really like to see the staff switch 1 of the DBs to WR to compensate for the loss of Ross. The ideal candidate seems to be Austin Joyner. He's on kickoff returns already so he has at least decent hands and speed speed speed. What the fuck do I know tho.

Clearly Tony Rodriguz Nick little KJ Young...Too early to tell. Could be good. Zeke..No Kyler Manu..Yes And Walker..Might be good if he can stay healthy but Fuck it. Need to GTFO
The numbers workout fine as long as we get 5 next class with 1 or 2 being JUCO.
Are you fucking retarded?
Relax go look at the roster breakdown for other teams 14-16 OL is the norm.
We are going to have fucking 14 next year and half of them have already been passed by younger players.
Yep, the issue isn't the numbers in so much as it is the fact that half of them have not contributed shit to date.
Our 14 OL this year produced an excellent starting unit and absolutely zero depth. We could not have sustained any OL injuries and kept rolling like we did at DL and LB and could have at DB or TE.
So now for next year we are again struggling to sign 2-3 OL. Lets say we end up with Bainvalu and two Plan B/C guys. We lose one to attrition and we have 14 again.
We need to replace Eldrenkamp- our best interior guy. And we need to find two capable backups.
Which three is it going to be?
Kirkland James Sosebee Turner Burleson Hilbers Roberts Wattenberg
Keeping in mind that the first five guys were passed by a 270 lb. true freshman despite being in the program for three years already.

That about nails it. The first 5 (fucking 5) were passed by an undersized freshman. Some of them are fucking Juniors. They suck. Everyone agrees you need 7 top shelf OL (i.e. ability to start at almost any school in the Pac12)...5 starting and 2 very capable back ups, while you bring the other 7 young guys along. Instead, next year, we have 2 really good ones, 2 very questionable ones (starting at other schools type questionable), and then what? And to make it even better, we are bringing in one great prospect, and then shit (unless we miracle Fozzy or Davis). An elite line is YEARS away. Strausser will have to work some magic to even be as good as this year as Eldrenkamp is a future NFL guy. He has proven he is good with working with these kids, but could we just get some better clay for him to mold someday? Ever?

Sounds like the idea a lot had going into this year HOPING that Brostek would have developed into something productive as a RS SR
Yeah. We need to pray that Wattenburg lives up to the hype (though young), AND Roberts emerges, OR one of the FIVE losers who got passed by a 260 pound TF just clicks in a MAJOR way and salvages themselves. None of this is impossible, but does look a bit improbable. We need to recruit more and better guys. Even if all of the above happens (Wattenburg, Roberts and one of the suck crew emerge), that would put us at 5 good OL, and 2 serviceable backups, with absolute crap behind them. Depth would still be shit if everything breaks the right way. I know a bunch of people think this is beating a dead horse BUT I DONT GIVE A FIDDLERS FUCK BECAUSE I WANT A GODDAMN MAULER LINE!!!11!!!!11!!

Yep, its the exact same argument we had last year except in evidence we have one more year of subpar recruiting and one more year of most of the linemen not progressing as shown by Nick Harris winning the starting job over Brostek, James, Kirkland, Turner, Sosebee, etc.
(All relative to the rest of the roster. Nobody thinks the OL is terrible it just is behind the other position groups.)

If we were an SEC team we would make those older players transfer and we would be taking 4 guys in this class instead of just 2 but thats not and never will be how Pete operates. Like I said 4 or 5 next year(2 being JUCOs) and we're in a GREAT place.
