The SEC has the one team in America that doesn't suck, but still.

Who doesn't suck in the PAC12 besides UW? Please don't say USC because they beat a bunch of 4-8 teams to end the season...

Hi. Everyone in the Pac-12 sucks.

    Your reading comprehension swallows.

Lane Kiffin just said the same thing in si.com. He talked about how loaded the SEC was in 2009 when he coached Tennessee and said the conference back then was way better than it is now.

The SEC has regressed down to the B1G's level because coaching matters.

Saban has run the other good coaches out of the conference.

You know why? Recruiting. Half of the top 100 players on a yearly basis comes from SEC states not including Texas. Want another reason just look at the NFL draft every year. The first round has SEC guys flying off the board early on a yearly basis. Look at the Pro Bowl, look at the All Pro list and you will see more SEC guys than any other conference. It says a lot when schools in the Midwest and West consistently come down south to take the three star left overs. We sure as hell don't go way the hell out there to get three stars

Also, it's literally one of the worst states in the country by any metric you want to look at. But roll tide, baby!

According to whom? What are these metrics? The ones that have you paying 900 grand for a 1400sq ft 3/2 rancher built in 1978? The one where you have a super long commute and pay super high property taxes? The one where you have snow half the year?

I lived in NYC last year for work for a number of months. I was with my family in about a 7 million dollar condo rent free. I couldn't wait to get back to Alabama. And I wasn't even paying the taxes.

People are different. People like different things. I wouldn't live in the state of Washington if you paid me. But then again, I also realize that things I like aren't for everyone.

    Washington isnt just seattle, FYI
But outside of Seattle is CUOG CUONTRY.

First of all, you're only showing how stupid you are if you think people in the south know football better than anyone else. There are two reasons the sec has been successful at football: 1) fertile recruiting ground; and 2) zero emphasis on academics.

Buzz off with this nonsense. Outside of Stanford, Northwestern, ND, Vandy, and a few others, EVERYONE offers the same players. Are PAC12 schools better, on average than SEC schools related to academics? Of course. But that doesn't mean the athletes are held to a higher academic standard. ESPECIALLY regarding entrance requirements.

In the Southeast, college football matters more. It just does. That's not a slight, the interests are just different. USC has one of the most front running fan bases in the history of the Americas. Hell you guys have had like 2-3 sellouts in 3 years. We have 100k at practice. We don't have the population density to have access to a lot of professional sports, so college football is top priority.

Engineering degree from bama? LOL. So let me call on your prestigious engineering degree. What sense does it make to put so many of these structurally unsound dwellings in a region known for such extreme weather?

But it sure is fun painting millions of good people with the broad brush of 'dumb redneck' ain't it?

"Millions of good people." Yah, right.

The SEC was pretty good for a few years when Bammer became good again and Rural Meyer was at Florida with a ton of talent. It was never as great as most made it out to be. The middle and bottom sucked in 2011 but hey, let two teams play in a rematch anyway.

Yes, the SEC didn't look as dominant or as polished as it has in the past. A big part of that is coaching because the talent is there. The SEC will regain its dominance of the past when these new coaches get settled down. A big part of the coaching problem in the SEC is caus d by Saban in my opinion. Too many fan bases and administrations and boosters have become restless seeing what Saban has done and pull the trigger too fast firing coaches in some cases. A lot of good coaches don't want to come to the SEC to compete with him causing schools to hire less than qualified candidates

Please tell me this is a joke. Like you're messing with me.

"Area racism was the proportion of Google searches containing the “N-word” in 196 designated market areas (DMAs)"

Do you know who uses the N word the most? Black people. Do you know where the population density of black people is the highest? The south.

But nice to know based on this "scientific" study that the south is infinitely less racist than the northeast.

Be honest, you've never been to the south (Atlanta doesn't count).

Attended a wedding in mobile, alabama in 2013. Driving just outside the city we spotted a bumper sticker which read: "If we knew then what we know now, we would've picked our own damn cotton."

Did you read the rest of the study? About black mortality rates and the incidents of racism? It isn't just about using the "N" word. Jesus.

Look at which states are trying to roll back the voting rights act.

The fact that you would say, "Atlanta doesn't count," pretty much makes my argument.

Black people use the "ga" ending while racist whites use the "ger" ending. There is a difference and I'm sure the study took that into account

    1) I'm not sure that it did take that into account. 2) Black people use both more than even racist white people use the one. I live in Alabama. I'm 100% certain I know racists, am FB friends with racsts. I have never in my life seen someone I know who is white say the N word on social media. Like ever.

And if we're throwing anecdotes around, the only person I've heard use the word freely was a white ultra liberal snowbird.

The study is trash, just like UW's schedule.

    HAHAHAHAHA from the study
Results from our study indicate that living in an area characterized by a one standard deviation greater proportion of racist Google searches is associated with an 8.2% increase in the all-cause mortality rate among Blacks
Those also just happen to coincide with areas of higher poverty, more crime, and less access to healthcare and steady employment.

But lets ignore history's most obvious driving factors in mortality rates "because racism." Deer lowered this is why Trump won.
