That's sort of true but the correct answer is actually abundance. All sins are equal spiritually in that all sin separates one from God. All sins are not equal in this life in that not all sin has an equal affect on others nor equal consequence.2001400ex said:

You said it was a Biblical term. Now you're saying "religion"...which is it, dumbass?Sledog said:
Religion has defined marriage. It's always been between a man and a woman. Maybe you can show me where sausage sword fighters or rug munchery.com were "married" prior to the current silliness.ThomasFremont said:

We base the word marriage on it and the definition. Your two dads can call it anything but marriage. And why would people that don't believe in religion want to be labeled by it?UWhuskytskeet said:

Just waiting for you to support bigamy and people marrying animals or inanimate objects.
The Bible says coveting is a sin. Should people go to jail if they think "man I wish I had their house" (or football coach, or hot TBS recruit, or whatever).
The Bible says gossip is a sin. Should we? lock up every lady at the hair salon?
I believe in the Bible. I support the Bible. I do my best to live by the Bible (but fail on a pretty regular basis). I am interested in exactly when you are going to start pushing for laws to ban all these other sins.
Or better yet, when you're going to realize that grace > law is basically the entire premise of the New Testament. -
I wish this thread got aborted.

That will only serve to further divide the country.RaceBannon said:People forget that the left wants to run your life as well which is why this country is mired in the bullshit it is.
And I am not disagreeing on the end game of the right.
As a man of faith I don't want the government involved at all but plenty do. It's a fact
I like how Trump got the evangelical vote without being either a real or pretend "religious" guy. We can debate these issues. As of today it sounds like Trump wants to send both issues back to the states to decide, and that would mean 81% of them would keep abortion and gay marriage legal. Who knows what he will think tomorrow.
Reagan was the guy who married the evangelicals and the GOP and he was a Hollywood guy on his second marriage from California.
Remember when some of the states didn't have slavery, but some did?
How did that turn out? I know you were there. -
Herr Trump loves the gays and the unborn.
short abortion clinics in red states, long abortion clinics in blue states. -
We know how it turned out. Republicans voted to end slavery. Democrats voted to keep it but lost. The Democrats started a war to keep it but lost when the republicans kicked their ass.ThomasFremont said:

That's why blacks were predominantly republicans until the 60's when democrats started to buy their vote with "The Great Society" using our tax dollars. They have divided and destroyed black families and our society and racial harmony in the process.

You know that the 2 parties have changed ideologically over the last 150+ years, right?Sledog said:

You can't call bullshit on the truth. That's called denial.Sledog said:I call bullshit.

So just prior to the civil war the southern slave owning democrats all moved north while all the northern republicans all moved south and into the plantations and slave ownership and seceded from the union and started the civil war.
Makes perfect sense.
