I don’t recall him mentioning academics when he committed.
I do remember him mentioning Coach Pete as a great coach who had laid out the infrastructure for a successful program at Washington.
Great kid and great family.
Pete outhustled Oregon’s coaches to secure Molden.
Not a payback for Jonathan Stewart. JStew never considered Washington.
It was Coog vs. Ducks for JStew. -

B.A. Communications
Minor: Sales Certificate
I guess he skipped the world reknowned STEM education at Washington.
Good guy. Graduated in 4 years. Did not opt-out during the COVID-shortened season.
It’s a crying shame the Huskies couldn’t get their shit together (COVID-wise) and show up at Autzen Stadium and play the scheduled game.

So he committed because of Peterson. Like I said he wouldn't commit there today.trublue said:

This post didn't age well either.PineapplePirate said:
It makes you wonder about the 4 star atheletes committed to Oregon right now. I mean, their decision is their decision but in my biased opinion those players are the type of atheletes who are committed to the Oregon uniform "swag" and the facilities. The coaches clearly don't matter to them because everyone knows they probably won't be there next year. And honestly (not trying to be doogish) I think Oregon is setting themselves up for a full program meltdown. I'm talking about Baylor style as an off the field ticking time bomb. Everyone makes fun of OKGs but there is a reason that level headed good kids matter. Molden seems like his head is on his shoulders and he's got a lot of wisdom for his age. I wish him the best at UW and I am happy for his decision.AlCzervik said:

70-21 was enough to show Molden which future at the time looked brighter. Had he known Pete would have burned out the following year, I don't think he goes to Washington, but he wasn't going to Oregon after that shit show. 70-21, 4-8, an uninspired performance, and the realization that a coaching change was likely coming will cause a kid to switch alliances. Helfrich lost the kid more than anything. As he lost out on a lot of prospects that season before the hammer came down.trublue said:
