Molden is a superb athlete with great hips.

DB and OL should be the largest position groups given the spread offenses. If you're good enough, it doesn't matter... you'll make the NFL.CuntWaffle said:With Love, Joyner, Murphy, Molden, Gilchrist... some of these guys will have to play other positions right?

On why he didn't choose Oregon: Not a good fit academically. Sucks to be a Duck when the kid is even half smart.dhdawg said:http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/index.ssf/2016/11/elijah_molden_explains_why_he_1.html

Academis
Did the uncertainty at Oregon play into the equation:
"I didn't think about that too much. I just think it wasn't a fit for me academically and just from where I would have been in the next couple of years... looking at the other schools, the coaches will hopefully stick around." -
Where does Molden rank among the stable of great CBs/Athletes we have? Coker? DDY?

Funny you axe, was just going to post about him.CuntWaffle said:Where does Molden rank among the stable of great CBs/Athletes we have? Coker? DDY?
I watched his Highlights a good three times now because it is THAT good. This guy is as close to Budda as you can get. Amazing in open field, incredible feet, physical, and he's built like a bulldog.
He could play five positions for UW: running back, slot WR, corner, safety, nickel.
Kid is incredible. -
Just is and Sterk could be studs? We'll see.bananasnblondes said:Amandre, Levi, Ngata. Those guys were all stud recruits that will likely end up at DE or Buck.
Also have Sterk and Justiss who were less-heralded recruits but could be studs with the right player development. The cupboard is not empty. -
One of those guys needs to play safety. McIntosh and Rapp are great at certain things, but I won't trust them in coverage for a long time after Saturday. I like them as hybrid LB's. Budda will be a huge loss though.CuntWaffle said:With Love, Joyner, Murphy, Molden, Gilchrist... some of these guys will have to play other positions right?

Nah, you're right. They're already up to their redshirt freshman year and this staff has shown no ability to identify underrated talent or develop players. Run 'em off the team, Sark!Passion said:

I listened to the Canzano Oregonian interview, kid is very well spoken and put together.

By the look of him, he's a naturally gifted athlete, but can still bring the lunch pail when neededanimate said:I listened to the Canzano Oregonian interview, kid is very well spoken and put together.

Reminds me of Blake Griffin

Dennis where the FUCK is your analysis? What are we paying you for?

It makes you wonder about the 4 star atheletes committed to Oregon right now. I mean, their decision is their decision but in my biased opinion those players are the type of atheletes who are committed to the Oregon uniform "swag" and the facilities. The coaches clearly don't matter to them because everyone knows they probably won't be there next year. And honestly (not trying to be doogish) I think Oregon is setting themselves up for a full program meltdown. I'm talking about Baylor style as an off the field ticking time bomb. Everyone makes fun of OKGs but there is a reason that level headed good kids matter. Molden seems like his head is on his shoulders and he's got a lot of wisdom for his age. I wish him the best at UW and I am happy for his decision.AlCzervik said: -
I fucking love him to be honest. Really smart player, crazy fast feet. Definitely looks like he will be a Budda Baker type (though Budda is hard to replicate because of his insane closing speed and smarts).CuntWaffle said:Dennis where the FUCK is your analysis? What are we paying you for?
Dude is electric with the ball in his hands too. Very similar player overall to Budda, just not QUITE as good. -

the one concern with him has been head injuries. 2 concussions and a cracked skull in his history is worrisome. if not for that he'd be a top 100 recruit maybe
-
Best line from this ESPN story about Molden's commitment: "When a program no longer gets the in-state son of a former player, something is wrong."

We don't play DEs.steelheader2 said:Levi Ownzurike will be the starting DE next year and a stud. 6'4" 270 One of the 12 BUCKS on the roster needs to step up next year. Benning?
We have two interior guys (NT/DT types) and then two 3-4 OLB types. Levi is an inside guy in our D.
