I was there when James won the first RB and even made $100 on it (big money back then).
I was OK with Notbright (hell it was his defense, right?) until he on side kicked vs NB at home after scoring 14 straight and getting within 7. "He thought we needed to change momentum???" Really????
Still remember where I was when they announced he was gone. Wasn't a big Neu fan because I thought he was soft but warmed up after we beat Miami in Seattle and won the RB.
As feared, we got softer and softer.
Hated Gilby from day 1. Saw too much at Cal.
Hated Ty from day 1 and gave up season tickets when TODD mocked dissent. Thought it was a PC hire.
Almost got back on with Stanback as QB before he got hurt but not quite.
Was kind of excited about Sark and Holt.
LSU was promising.
Actually was on the field after USC upset.
But after three years it was obvious we were treading water at best.
Was optimistic about Petersen but not sold. Two Boise coach flame outs.
I forgot that I went to almost every last dawgman event ever. I even flew in for some.
Thread over. @Dennis_DeYoung is truly the King of the Doogs.
I'm happy to see that no one has admitted to going to a Dawgman signing day TBS breakfast at that crappy sports bar in Kirkland.
Guilty. DDY was there. So was Tequilla. Fuck my life.
This is the worst confession of all. Even as someone who lived out of state and out of country from 91-07, I was never so desperate for anything UW football to go to a Dawgman event.
In my defense, my buddy and I just kept to ourselves and made fun of everyone else. I realized about 10 seconds in that I'd made a poor life choice. It was a lot of fun making fun of all the basement dwelling loosers there tho. It was a veritable gaggle of faggots, if you will. There was this one queer in a TCU hat. The guy just wouldn't, or couldn't, shut the fuck up. All the guys at his table were rolling their eyes and trying to dig their eardrums out with steak knives. It was really strange.
This was the exact scenario for me as well. Standing outside to get in I realized the mistake I made and just made fun of people with @Tequilla, and another friend. Luckily my girlfriend at the time didn't leave me, that was the biggest mistake, we are now married (Although I believe it was her idea to go). So I got that going for me.
But my god, the fact I felt uncomfortable at a TBS event tells you all you need to know about how awkward that shit was. I should live for shit like that and I wanted to die once I got there.

On Doogman circa 2011 I made a poast which included the opinion that Court Dennison was the worst LB in Husky historty.
The next morning I woke up and on My facebook had a nasty, threatening message from...court dennison.
He somehow used my DM handle (Penace) and found me on facebook. He called me a piece of shit and that he wanted to fight me. I told him if he did make sure to bring Chris Izbicki as I could certainly beat him up.
Long story short we ended up speaking on the phone for about an hour with him sniveling and whining that he wasnt a bad kid and did I really think he sucked? I didnt have the heart to tell the fragile boi that he infact did suck, terribly so.
I mollycoddled the lad and assured him that he was "OK"

I started buying season tickets in 1992. This whole thing is my fault.
I actually haven't missed a home game since the start of the '93 season. So I may be more to blame than you.
And although I hated the Sark hire, I got completely got swept up in the "moral victory" talk after that opening loss to LSU. And the USC win. And the St. Tosh Day Massacre.
2 games since '96. Once I was in a wedding (they got divorced like 4 years later) and the other was Dad's weekend at WSU and I had missed the previous year and made my daughter cry.

This thread is pretty fun. It's so long now I can't remember if I already posted my confession. Here are a few things I haven't selectively forgotten:
I stayed quiet but was cautiously optimistic about Gilby and Ty when first hired.
I kinda bought in to the Gilby undefeated hype stirred up by Samek.
I thought president Emmert was going to be good for the program.
I did speak up in defense of Ty in years 1-2 when his louder critics hammered on things that didn't seem justified. One example would be his shit canning Hemphill and Braunstein, both of whom sucked so I was right. Still doogish.
I thought UW might hire Herm Edwards.
I liked Locker and made excuses for him, same as I did for Stanback.
I got excited about what I saw in Sark's first game against LSU...classic moral victory.
I thought keeping Wilcox and the rest of the staff might be a good idea when Sark left.
I thought we might have a chance against Oregon EVERY year during the streak.

IT's sad when fake news infiltrates a site as pure and noble as this one.

I'm Race fucking Bannon old.
I really began to think I'd never see this.

Mixed through two but thought year three told.
I'm back to full Doog.
Pure abundance.

I'm sure there were plenty of others.
