Tedford to UW as offensive consultant

I might be drunk off of my one IPA, but I didn't see this posted yet.

Says Tedford and Petersen are in informal talks about bringing him here as an offensive consultant.

    This. They can't actually offer him a position yet because he's coaching some teen boys or something. The coaching staff has an open spot due to Smith holding two positions. Hoping they make Tedford OC and demote Smith to QB coach or better yet, Door.Ass.Out

    Nope. The NCAA rules say one HC and nine assistants. The Husky staff is full right now.

    Well enough to know that there are no additional spots on the staff to fit an additional full-fledged coach. Tedford can certainly have one of those off-the-books roles or can replace another coach, but he can't just be added as an OC.

    How awkward will it be when his conclusion is the staff should fire the OC and he recommends hiring himself. What type of commission will he pay himself?

    It's a valid assumption given Peterman had two offseasons to fire him and chose to keep him both times.
